Just visited this shop for the 1st time and wow, what a great place! Was looking for boots and a pack for a Western hunt later this year, and Kyle took time to answer all of my questions and provide a ton of information based on his experiences with similar hunts. The staff has a great knowledge base and awesome products in stock that are rather hard to find in the Midwest. Definitely worth a visit, and I will be returning!

Called Whale-Tales to see if I could come in to get two Hoyt bows tuned. I had the pleasure of working with Nick. Nick had my two bows tuned, peep sights corrected, and timing checked in well under an hour. I was able to shoot both bows through paper to verify the tune. I was very impressed with Nick...he answered all my questions, and was extremely personable and friendly while doing so. I have to admit, I felt a bit odd asking for help since I didn't purchase the bows from Whale-Tales. However, seeing how friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable the staff were, they have earned my trust and future business...I definitely will be making my future purchases from Whale-Tales. Whales Tales is an awesome place. I traveled from North Carolina to visit my family and learned of Whales Tales. My father had purchased a bow earlier a shared what a great experience he had. I of course decided I needed to buy a new bow as well. Tyler and his awesome staff fitted and tuned the new Hoyt Alpha Carbon Rx for me. This bow looks and shoots amazing. I love my bow and it was great meeting other bow enthusiasts and staff that loved what they do. I will go out of my way to travel and give my business to this shop. I have never been there when the store wasn't busy, and yet, it seems as though someone is always at the door to great you and ask how they may be of assistance. Beyond amazing, first time customer and will definitely go back. My rest was set perfect, no up or down adjustments at all. One bullet hole little to no broad difference. Just happy!

Very impressed. I walked in looking to buy a compound for an Alaskan hunt. I had never shot a compound before and they talked me through the whole process and explained the right bow for me and my budget. They set everything up for me and took the time to show me the proper form to shoot and had me shoot in the range to make sure I was dialed in. 100% recommend.

New to archery - had a fairly good experience getting setup with a bow here. That being said, I would recommend you do not go on a Saturday, they were crazy busy and the whole process took a long time.

Great all around environment. These guys are awesome. Went there with my 12 year old son, a brand new shooter, to get an idea for what we needed to get into the sport. It was a bit of a wait, which I was told up front, but the guys were busting there but and providing tip notch service to everyone. Nick went above and beyond for us and the only reason we bought a bow was because of their service and the fact that the experienced customers were also very helpful to a young shooter. Huge shout out to Tony as well

I stopped in with my kids to have my son’s bow he got for Christmas set up. Roxanne told us right away that it would be a half hour wait. Less than half an hour later Nick took care of our bow by putting in a peep sight. Nick was very attentive to detail making sure we knew our son was shooting cross eye dominate. Once the bow was set up Roxanne went above and beyond to make sure our son was comfortable and shooting accurate. This was all while they were also setting up and holding an event as well. My other two children found a place to get comfortable while we focused on the bow and so many other people checked in on them as well. Such a friendly local business!

Nick did a great job changing cam modules, installing new peep site and tuning my bow. He helped me paper tune the arrows and cronograpgh my bow speed also. Very knowledgable and efficient. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it's worth it to have a full service pro shop with experts working on my equipment. Their store is also jammed with top notch gear and the range is great with two tiered shooting out to 40 yards.

Needed a string for 10 point crossbow, they fixed me up and was hunting that afternoon, damn good men there!!

As I look at and visit archery shops I try to go in and ask questions and learn something new with every shop. This place was by far the best, everyone one there is professional and won’t hesitate to answer any question I had. I went in Thursday and talked to them, shot a some of the new bows and then decided to bring my bow in the next day and have it looked at seeing how two other well known shops in my area both miss diagnosed an issue I had. I had a cam lean on my Hoyt carbon element and one shop said that I couldn’t do anything about and then timed in my bow. The next shop was able to take care of the cam lean the then retimed my bow again saying it was off.... interesting enough I chalked it up to the cam lean being off and newer string stretching in... after finding marks on my bottom vanes from my target arrows I figured out it was a timing issue on my drop away. I felt comfortable and confident in bringing it to whales tales for them to look at and they found that my drop away string was too tight and was throwing my timing off. Didn’t take no time at all for him to fix it. I am bad with names and don’t recall who worked on it to give them credit. He corrected the timing and let me shoot at the range and to check out what he did to make sure it was shooting right. Low and behold the timing is now no longer an issue, I’m not hitting my drop away, and the bow is whisper quiet. This is hands down the best place I took my bow and is now my go to bow shop. After going through a number of shops around SE Wisconsin, been looking for a good shop I can trust. Drove over an hour to come up to Whale Tales and had a great experience.
Came by this afternoon to shop for a new bow and shoot the range. Great selection and good stock of everything I was looking for.
My buddy and I shot the range for an hour and a half and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the range. Will be back when it's time to make my purchase!

These guys are great! Very knowledgeable and they carry a large inventory for any level of archer. Plus they have an indoor range!

Honestly, the best archery shop I've ever been to. The service is awesome! Prices are beyond reasonable, and they do excellent work. They treat your equipment like there own. I am nit picky and I have never been disappointed. Good old boys and girls bow shop!

Dealt with Tyler over two days and he was never anything but professional. Great service, good prices, nice people, and a well set up place. Nice to not have to worry about where to go for all of my archery needs anymore.

Hands down best archery shop in the area. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff and regular clientele, I bring the wife and kiddo along with everytime we go because on top of a top tier service shop and range, its just a fun place to hang out and shoot the bull. I bought a bow from another shop (was not aware WhaleTales was able to order Bowtech) in the area and these guys were happy to correct the myriad of problems I was sent out the door with by the "other guys".
