The Sage's Shoppe

Cozy shop with a wide selection of products from board games to minis. Staff are always super friendly and receptive to feedback. They host regular events and I often draft on Fridays - it's typically a lot of fun. It's also conveniently close to the Purdue campus, easily a bus ride away.

Really enjoy the atmosphere, friendliness, and customer service in this shop. Been in several times and someone has always been willing to help direct me in color choice in both the Vallejo and Citadel ranges. Highly recommend supporting this local business.

This is a wonder nerd shop, they have minis and paints and maps and mtg and tournaments and xwing and so much more it is a great shop that needs to be a must see for many MANY nerds and geeks new and old alike.

Sages is always a lot of fun. I love the fact that they let people come and play board games and they don't charge for that. So you can spend an afternoon there playing games and not spend any money. And you get to play wide variety of different games which is awesome!

This is the greatest card store I have ever visited! Products are reasonably priced well, Staff is AWESOME (they know their stuff and their are very friendly towards new and returning players), and they have pretty much everything for a magic player (if not, they can order it). The staff don't scam you in to buying useless junk for expensive prices, they instead give you actual tips for purchasing that make complete sense. I try to come here whenever I can!

EDIT: 4 years later, and my opinion still stands. I’ve never walked out of here with a bad mood. I went on a Magic hiatus for a few years, but I’ve come back to this store recently and have been playing for about 4 months now. Just as good as it was a few years back.

They have a lot of interesting card games, board games, ttrp games, and minis. The staff was helpful. I would certainly visit again.

When the other shops don't have what I need sages always seems to. The atmosphere is always great and it's just a great place to keep coming back to!

Stopped in while visiting family in the area. Great shop with a nice selection. I was able to pick up a couple of items that are out of print. The staff was very nice and let me put up a card on the bulletin board from my work place at White Metal Games in North Carolina.

An excellent hobby store. The shelves are full of games, miniatures, and hobby supplies new and old. The friendly staff are helpful and knowledgable. If they don't have something in stock, they will find a way to get it for you, even if its out of their way. They have plenty of space for playing games and have a schedule of games you can join from Magic to WarHammer to many others. Its a great place to hang out and get your nerd on.

Any time I have been in this shop, any employee interaction has been respectful and kind regardless of the identity of the person. If you want people to be nice to you, go in to a store expecting to talk to people, not customer service robots, but it's probably not useful to shoot subtext at other reviewers.

Good prices on wide variety of card and table top RPG games. The staff was knowledgeable even when asked for that one game and minor details about the game I was looking for he knew the game I was looking for and lead me straight to it. If table top is your game this is a must visit shop.

The Sage's Shoppe is a very nice game store with ample play space and a huge selection of all types of games. They have everything from miniatures to board games to TCG's. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are several large tables at standing height, which makes this store perfect for playing miniatures games.

My oldest son really enjoys playing all the board games and painting little figurines to go with. My youngest enjoys there monthly Pokémon gathering.

Great card and game shop, they have a wide selection and super nice people. They'll helo you track down and you need. If you're a regular there's a 20 a year thing to get 10% off the whole store. They have a few of the rarer card games as well.

Great selection of games. A large open area for you to play games in the back half of the shop. The staff are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you could meet.

I'm a regular here at The Sage's Shoppe. I come here about once a week to sell and buy Magic cards. They have a great variety of products, and their staff are really friendly and helpful. All in all, I'm happy that we have such a great LGS in our community to support and be a part of.

Love the customer service, a lot of card shops around Lafayette should really take notice to what the treatment is here and they should be held high, had a great inventory of Yu-Gi-Oh and magic the gathering, the only downside is that they do not buy cards from the customers.

Easily the best game/hobby store I’ve ever had the benefit of visiting.

The staff are such great people and are always willing to help you, whether it be finding a particular item, or even questions about rules in a game, they’re always around to help.
