Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! Wouldn't get my ice skates sharpened anywhere else. The most professional fitting of boots and blades anywhere in New Jersey. Plenty of skates and skating accessories (skate guards, soakers, bags, socks, laces, gloves, and more) in stock. If not in stock can be ordered no problem. Greg is the owner, I’ve known him for 20+ years, and I’ve been coming to his businesses for top notch skating care ever since.
He takes his time with each customer and his knowledge re: figure skates (and hockey) is encyclopedic.

Greg provided an excellent experience for me and my two kids, both of whom needed to be fitted for skates (ages 5 and 7). Greg was patient, polite, and friendly, as well as informative. He took his time with both of my kids and spent about an hour in total fitting them for the right pair of skates, sharpening them, and answering my questions.

I would highly recommend Greg and his skate shot to anyone looking for skates and look forward to coming back for bigger skates in a year or two.

We moved to River Vale NJ from IL recently. I’ve been on the hunt for a figure skating pro shop that specializes in figure skates. Both my 6 year old daughter and I are skaters I now coach my kid. I recently had a flare up with my foot and really needed an expert technician and my daughter grew out of her skates so new boots and blades were needed. I have to tell you how grateful both my daughter and I are to have found Greg! My daughter refers to him now as the “skate doctor!” He’s very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, personable and professional. His work is straight quality precision and his diagnosis of issues are spot on. My foot now feels better in my skate then it does in my running shoe. Greg fixed what 3 well known skate shops in IL couldn’t. I will certainly be referring skaters his way from here on out. If you need an expert technician Greg is your guy! I highly recommend...!!

If there is only one skate shop allowed to open in New Jersey, this is the shop I can trust. Greg is always the one whom I let work on my skate. I have been to other shops but nothing compared to his store.

I decided to take up ice skating in January during my college break and purchased a pair of skates online. I started doing spins and jumps and realized the skates were too big. After struggling with the skates for two months, I decided to purchase new skates from Greg and it was the best decision ever. Being a college student, money is a little bit tight. With that, Greg offered recommendations that would fit in my budget and still fit my skating needs. My feet have a lot of problems (bunions, flat and wide feet, narrow ankle)and he was able accommodated them in a beautiful pair of skates. I feel more confident doing my jumps and spins in these new skates!! Greg is very friendly, knowledgable and takes his time to perfect his craft. I highly recommend!!

Not enough good things to say!! The expertise and kindness is worth the trip! My granddaughter finally has skates that fit and don't hurt! Greg definitely knows his business as well as what brand skate should be used for what type of foot!

Greg is an expert skate technician! I went in to get fitted for new boots (the shop has a ton of options), and he got me into a pair of Edea boots that are incredibly comfortable, and he got blades ordered for me, in the shop, and an appointment to have them mounted to my skates all in just a few days. He takes his time mounting the blades and makes sure they’re perfect, and does a great job sharpening them too. He’s also incredibly knowledgable about all of the brands he carries and with general skate knowledge, so he’s a great person to go to when you’re in the market for new boots and blades!

Great little shop with all you need. Got my first pair of skates here and they were fitted, heat molded, stretched out and sharpened all included in the price. They are so comfortable! Thanks so much for all the help.

Highly knowledgeable staff. Went in to find Skates for my daughter. After looking at previous stores I was glad we tried here. Almost bought an overpriced skate from another store. Greg showed us the pros and cons of each skate and we made the right choice. Highly recommended.

Thank you! I can skate again. I came in voicing that I had hardly skated in 9 years due to a new hardly worn pair of skates that gave me significant pain. I tried heating them, orthotics etc and nothing would make the pain from five minutes of having the skates on my feet go away. When I came in, you listened, and measured my feed and then brought me a few pairs of skates you thought would work. All felt 1000 times better than my previous pair, how skates should feel. I just got on the ice on the new skates and it feels like a miracle! I’m just sorry I wasted the last 9 years of no skating.

Great shop! They offer a comprehensive line of boot and blade options. Greg is incredibly knowledgable and also takes time with you to make sure you get the right fit.

Just the best. They identified that my blades had been butchered for years by inexperienced ice rink skate sharpeners, and they did a very detailed job trying to iron out the damage by hand! They know everything about skating and are very thorough.

The shop also carries gloves, socks, protective padding, skate bags, etc.

He made every part of the process special for my 12 year old daughter.

If you are looking for professional figure skating sharpening and fitting - this is THE BEST place to go !!!! The skate sharpening is top-notch for competitive figure skating, location is great - very reachable from Codey, Mennen, Clary Anderson and Floyd Hall.

Greg has been doing my daughters and my skates both figure and hockey skates for 10+ years... He is good at what he does and knows his business.
