I had a wonderful experience, the owners son was kind enough to measure my feet and informed me I am a size 8, not a 9. So, that was fun. If only my waist measured out the same. Haha. Anyhow, he was patient and listened to my needs, he picked the perfect sneaker for me. I've since taken my mom to get her new shoes too. It's such a charming store, looks small but don't be fooled, they have it stocked with excellent products and everything you need. Shoes, clothes, socks, gel, sunglasses, inserts, headphones, the list goes on! Shop local, you won't be disappointed.

Chris is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He takes the time to work with you to find shoes that are right for you. This is by far the best spot in the area for athletic and walking shoes.

The only place I buy running shoes, period. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable about the products in the store and hasn't steered me wrong through close to 10 pairs purchased. No need to visit another store-I know I'll be well taken care of!

I have been to other running stores in the area but my chiropractor told me about Athletic Shoe Shop and a friend knows the owner at the Newtown location. I'm somewhat new to the running game but I told the associate my experiences at other stores and what shoes would be best for my feet etc. Everything I told the salesman, he respectfully didn't agree and he explained and showed me WHY I needed a certain type of shoe etc. I tried on about 4 pairs until I finally found one that I liked and that the associate was happy with. I will definitely go back here.

super super nice place. the guy that helped me was amazing. im a first time runner and he was so helpful with everything, talked me and my wife through what shoes would be best for me as a first timer runner and didn't try and sell me the most expensive shoes there cause i didn't know better. Love this place and will purchase all my running shoes here again.

My foot doctor sent me here to get orthotics and a specific sneaker because I had a tear and separation in my tendon. Glad she did. Chris took care of my needs. Very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the orthotics he suggested as well as the type of sneaker. Definitely will continue to do business with them.

I am not athletic but Chris listened to my issues and patiently helped me find shoes that would best support my slightly odd, aging feet.

He not only is knowledgeable, he is patient, and very professional when it comes to going through the process of choosing the right running shoe for your body and performance. Chris is the man! I have been dealing with foot pain for as long as I can remember. I've seen multiple podiatrists over the years who have said I had plantar fasciatis and achilese tendonitis and to try this sneaker or that insert. Nothing ever worked and in fact their recommendations (and a lot of money mispent on Amazon) seemed to make things worse. Finally, my podiatrist (shout out to Dr. Freeman in Doylestown) told me to go see Chris at the Athletic Shoe Shop. When I stopped by and met Chris for the first time I could tell right away he was cool, extremely knowledable, and generally cared about fixing my foot issues. He took the time to properly measure my foot (I was wearing a 1/2 size too large all this time), suggested a few different sneakers, and felt around to my make sure the fit was just right. He explained everything to me about his recommendations and when walking out of the store wearing my new pair, I felt an immediate improvement. The last month in these sneakers has been a gamechanger for my feet and I just stopped back in today to ask Chris if maybe I could use a little additional arch support. Instead of just letting me purchase whichever inserts looked cool, Chris insisted I try out a couple different ones for the right fit, insisting I didn't need as much lift as I thought. Every step since then feels even better now. I just wanted to show my appreciaition here, hopefully help someone else out, and thank Chris for his next-level knowledge and caring!

This is the place to go! Chris gives GREAT customer service and is extremely knowledgeable about all the products in the store. The Athletic Shoe Shop is not just for athletic shoes, there are many other extras. Running/walking belts for all your smartphone needs, yoga equipment, safety lights and vests. Foam rollers, hand held rollers, sunglasses, swimming equipment, and of course great clothes. Plus the store has specialty laundry detergent which beat Tide! Need a GPS watch, Chris can not only explain the differences but also show you how they work. I could go on, so let's just say the Athletic Shoe shop is a great stop for your upcoming holiday needs!
