Mountain House At Caesars Head

This was such an amazing experience for my family. We had traveled the mountain to see the pretty place chapel, and on the way back down the mountain, we stopped into this coffee shop. It had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The coffees were so delicious and warm. The patio was very cozy, and the gentleman behind the counter even turned on the heaters on. It was so enjoyable to sit there and sip. What a gem. I would definitely recommend the coffee shop yo anyone! Great job, guys!

We were so hungry after our hike, stopped here for a quick bite. Sandwiches & soups. Ham & cheese croissant with broccoli & cheese soup. Chicken salad on a bed of spinach with a tomato bisque soup. Both dishes were delicious. Best part was the ice cream. We had the cappuccino one, so good. Limited parking.

This is the cutest little place for a sweet treat after hiking or visiting one of the lookout areas!! We stopped in right before they closed and they were so kind and helpful. We sampled the most delicious fudge that is made in house!! I wish we had known earlier in the day that this little place existed because we could have tried more! I highly recommend checking them out!!

The Mountain House is under new ownership. The food is good and the old place has had nice upgrades. They offer sandwiches, soups and waffles as well as the accustomed ice cream and fudge. Pre hike, post hike or just sightseeing in the mountains I highly recommend a stop here.

The barista was sweet and made me her spin on a brown sugar shaken espresso. It wasn’t on the menu but it was definitely my favorite choice. Always ask the barista for their choice; I promise it’s well worth it.

Perfect! We went for a hike nearby and were looking forward to a nice cup of coffee and sandwiches here! Food was fantastic (we had grilled cheese, chicken salad, and pimento cheese sandwiches) and coffee. Service was friendly and quick.Make sure to save room for dessert! Their fudge is amazing! We had the peanut butter and chocolate covered cherries.It just happened to be their first anniversary and hope to see them doing brisk business for years to come!

Stopped by on our way home from hiking. A charming little place. Very friendly people. Simple menu but good. Will be back next time we are in the area.

What a gem! We stopped in yesterday and what a wonderful experience! The exterior is so inviting and then we opened the door and the incredible coffee smell felt like we were in the right place. The full menu looked great and the enclosed dining porch was calling us to stay and just relax for a while.
The new owners were a joy to talk to and they are local and they are committed to presenting an extraordinary venue and experience.
We will be back and intend to spread the good word!

Rustic charm here and the family that runs it are as sweet as can be.

Cute little roadside cafe with awesome coffee and food options including sandwiches and pastry. Friendly welcoming owners/staff and wonderful atmosphere. New owners have extended the hours and it's now a regular stop going down 276.

First time going. I got a Reuben and it was delicious. I also had there homemade hashbrown casserole which was also very good. The owners are fantastic people. I'll be going back.

Such a quaint local business in a perfect location near Pretty Place Chapel. Delicious coffee drinks and crafts by local artisans. Plan on repeat visits.

We could not have chosen a better lunch reception place after our small COVId friendly wedding at Pretty Place Chapel. The owners went above and beyond as gracious and accommodating hosts, starting with having the sparkling cider toast ready for us as everyone arrived, to having our wedding cake set on a table decorated by their own family heirloom crocheted table topper that the owner’s own grandma washed and ironed for our event. They stuck to our blue and yellow wedding colors for the tables and set everything up beautifully. The food was excellent. At the end, because we had so many family members unable to attend last minute due to COVId, they packed up dinners for us to drop off on quarantined house porches. Planning with manager Crystal was a breeze. They get my recommendation!

Best fudge I've ever tasted. I was first introduced to this place years ago when I worked with Camp Spearhead. I always try and stop if I am passing by when they're open.

Stopped in after a hike at Caesars Head State Park. Got a couple of sandwiches, to quote my husband and sum it up beautifully. “5 star sandwich shop hidden on the side of the road”

After hours of hiking we were hungry and stopped at this cute, well kept place. The owners had just closed but welcomed us inside and offered us some quick sandwiches. We had the chicken salad. It was delicious. The bread was so soft, fresh, and delicious. I don’t know if it’s homemade but it sure tasted like it. The food and service was top notch!

Best coffee and very friendly Owners. We also enjoyed their chicken salad sandwiches and tomato bisque soup. We will be returning next time we are in town!

I found this place by mistake and I'm glade I came in. They are wonderful here! Great service and food. I'll definitely stop again on my travels 🏔⛰💜
