Being a member/owner of a local organic food coop is really important to me. I love supporting this place. All the produce is always organic. The yummy prepared food made on premises only contains organics.

My go to for everything. The only item I'm missing there is organ meats like beef liver OR soup pile to make super nutritious bone broths and liver/organ pattes at home. Would be amazing to have those grass-fed organic accessible there too.

Very lucky to have this place around the corner. Good prices and they know their stuff.

This is such a great store! I went there earlier today and the staff is very helpful and kind. I got most of my groceries in the bulk and produce section, super great selections in both. They have bulk flours, nuts, granola, legumes, SPICES!!, and nut butters. I will absolutely continue to shop here.

Great organic food store that you can shop at without a membership. Good variety and sales! Members earn discounts and dividends at the end of the year depending on how much you spend.

Whole Foods quality, lucky enough to work close by !! Been going to this place for many years.

Located on Cortelyou Road in the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn, NY, Flatbush Coop is ideal to purchase vegan and organic food items and supplements. Accessible via the Q train and the B103 bus.

I come here for the coffee bean selection like over a dozen options what's not to like.
Clean store wide aisles friendly staff

Local organic food store, in business for decades. The produce is good quality. Variety of foods available is good. Also have some prepared foods but I haven't tried them. Much better selection than the othe organic food store down the street.
One gets a discount if one is a member or a working member but anyone can shop here.

Extremely well stocked with great prices on USDA labeled organic brands and produce. Great deals for members too. Very nice selection in the bulk section. High quality chocolate is often on sale, so is coffee. The staff are the nicest people working in grocery stores I have ever encountered.

Pricey, but the products are very high-quality. The difference in taste and longevity between the produce here and other local grocery stores is noticeable. The staff is kind and helpful. I also really appreciate how clear and consistent they are about protecting customers and staff from COVID: masks are non-negotiable and the store is regularly cleaned and well-maintained.

A very cute and friendly place. The shelves were the vegetables are kept are clean and all of the fresh food is actually fresh. They carry a lot of major natural brands but local brands too. Staff are local to the neighborhood and friendly. The security guy at the front is always inviting and helpful! He sets the tone for your shopping experience. Everytime I go in he always greets everyone with a warm smile and a friendly 👋 hello!

Open late. Good vegetable selection. Good but expensive food.
Dec 2022: not open quite as late as prepandemic but still good as a source of last minute ingredients.
Sept 2023: good source of organic foods. Wide selection of vegetables.

I don’t like that prices can be on the higher side or that I was told over the phone that I can’t get price information for products. Why the 5 stars? This is the only health food grocery store still enforcing mask wearing and as someone whose health was ruined by covid19, I’m ever so grateful to have this as an option in the neighborhood. If you’re still someone looking to avoid getting covid19, shop here! They also still wipe the carts and provide wipes for the cart. I stick to the sale items in the flyers which can be found online so I can afford it here. It is always clean and they have a variety of selection. The price is worth my health and the health of loved ones.

I’ve been into the Flatbush Food Coop on and off. But since August 2021 have been shopping consistently. The produce is somewhat fresh. The core reason I go is because of the BEST juicer I’ve ever had prepare my smoothie’s!! Pretty sure the lady’s name is Debbie. I will forever continue to go to this location because of her. Debbie is not only caring, fast, multi tasks, preparing drinks and meals but makes everything taste better because she puts her heart into her craft!! Debbie your artistry is magical and am grateful each time. If you are not there I can’t buy smoothie’s. They are not the same. Thank you so much!!

My favorite grocery store in Brooklyn. They have local, fresh, and organic foods. Bulk dry goods and fresh ground coffee. There's a small Deli section with fresh juices and ready to go sandwiches and hot soup. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

The prices could go down a little but on the whole the people who work there are usually helpful and kind. The produce is good except the grapes are seedless. The soups are outstanding. You can sample them when you ask for sample cups. The sweets are good and the chicken tastes good. I did not get sick from their grass fed beef or free range eggs. They're good.They have environmentally safe products. I even bought the piece of bee cone for my kids. They love it but it's expensive. Just stop by when you have time and see what they offer. It will take a while to see everything. The products are good for different needs. Its very clean and organized.

If you are familiar with Sprouts or Trader Joe's or Grocery Outlet on the West Coast, then you'll be right at home at the Brooklyn Co-op. Super high quality food, much not available in ordinary supermarkets, fair prices, nice folks, clean and modern.
