Fantastic, ethically sourced and delicious curation and love the people there—those who run the store, and those who frequent it! On Saturday (2024-02-24) they had a special “Loire Valley Tour” wine-tasting event with all the wines placed on top of a massive hand-drawn map of the region, paired with crackers and cheese local to the area—Sean presented and killed it! ❤‍🔥 Tuesdays and Fridays are always fun and enlightening, and the shop has magazines and books about wine that you can read, too. Nice dedicated lounging and seating areas. People know me by name and I can always count on getting a great recommendation from anyone there. Love chatting up the other customers there, too. Vibes of the store are perfect, huge props to Erikka for making such a relaxing, open, yet welcoming space. Fred and Sean are good guys; and thank you to Britta for taking care of my bottles the night I left the store without them. Haha. 💞

I can not say enough great things about this place. The staff is so wonderful, knowledgable, and excited to tell you about the wines and spirits they carry, especially when it comes to local options. The wine tastings on Fridays are a wonderful end of the week treat as well as also being informative and allowing me to try wines I might not have ever tried otherwise. Overall, I’m just so happy and grateful they are in the neighborhood!

erica is absolutely incredible, so knowledgeable. my bf and i go in once or every few weeks with specific dishes we’re making and she always gives us the best recommendations and at a great cost. she always considers and asks our budget as well as considering what flavor profiles are in the food we’re cooking and how it’s being prepared. 100000/10 love this place so much and want it to thrive forever.

Fred (the owner) is arguably the most knowledgeable man when it comes to wine that I have ever met. An incredibly kind soul who has personally curated the most eclectic and interesting selections that you could find. An absolute knock out of a shop! Great for a bottle of wine or just a great conversation. Highly recommend.

This place is a new, Northeast gem. Where to begin?

To start, you can find every kind of spirit here: aperitifs, sake, beer, vermouth- whatever its category, you'll find it here. There is a delightful section of NA beverages for those interested in virgin cocktails. Their selection of wine and spirits is vast with an emphasis on supporting environmentally conscious companies who have established themselves from the ground up.

Fridays from 5-9 they host wine and spirit tastings. Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're a connoisseur of sorts or not at all and simply want to come in and try a few beverages, they make you feel right at home. On Tuesdays afternoons you can come to one of Erika's cocktail tutorials and learn how to make it at home.

Though this is a wine and spirit shop, it feels much more like a new spot in the neighborhood to connect and mingle.

Nice wine shop with a good selection. Staff was super friendly and spent some time recommending good wines. They also have a relatively unique selection of spirits. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in NE and looking for wine! I’m sure we’ll be back in the future.

You can pop in last minute before a dinner party to find a great pairing thanks to knowledgeable, friendly staff and great curated selection of wines, spirits, and a couple beers.

Violet Wine is the best! The owners/employees are super nice and knowledgable. I appreciate their cocktail and wine tastings; it's an affordable way for us to invite friends over and support a local business. This is an absolutely wonderful shop. Everyone there was kind, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. Olivia, one of the staff working on a drizzly Saturday, suggested an absolutely perfect pairing that I never would have thought of myself. Definitely check out this gem of a wine shop!
