We ordered some curtains for our living room from The Shade Store. Amy did an amazing job with our order. There was a small manufacturing defect in our order. We just had our shades done by the Shade Store, and the Store was really wonderful. They provided narrow windows for appointment and installation, came sharply on time, and did a fantastic job. In fact, because the original delivery had to be delayed because of Hurricane Irma and no fault of their own, they were very fast and efficient in rescheduling it. They also cheerfully made without charge adjustments to the order. And the shades are really beautiful ! We have had a lot of costly and unpleasant experience with renovation in our apartment in the last few years, and it was a real pleasure to sail through this time with the Shade Store. The person from the Shade Store who helped us was Maggie Ryder. You should try and get her to help you if that is a possibility.

Elise is my go-to !! She makes every project effortless for me. She understands the products and appreciates the customer’s vision. She was able to take a private fabric that I liked that no longer available and substitute it with an even better one based on a few pictures! She is reliable, prompt, courteous and has a wonderful eye. I highly recommend her expertise!

I've been dealing with Maggie & The Shade Store for at least 2 years now. I live in Staten Island & have dealt with a few companies on Staten island & have been extremely disappointed numerous times. When I first built my home 8 years ago I didn't know about this company. I found The Shade Store online originally but was nervous to just order online without seeing the product. We noticed there was a store in Paramus & decided to take a drive up & look, that's when we met Maggie. The store itself was impressive & clean with all of their beautiful products hung for us to see. Once talking to Maggie we knew this was the way to go, she was patient & so professional & extremely knowledgeable . My husband & I love going to visit Maggie we always have a few good laughs while trying to make our choices. She's amazing.
When I say she's gone above & beyond to help us I mean that. First we did our dining room which came out stunning with tulip shades & roller shades underneath. They are gorgeous. Easy peezy. Next was my kitchen not so easy bc I had ordered blinds twice for this room over the years that I was completely dissatisfied with.. 1st was a ton of money for motorized blinds from the biggest name possible but the person selling blinds thought it would be a good idea to hang the blinds in the center of my beautiful molding around my window which at the time seemed like a good idea but in the end just didn't look right. Lived with those for a few years the material over my sink became stained & dirty. Moved on to another company in Staten island they talked me into woven wood blinds with a lining on the back said they would only be 3/4 of an inch wide for my kitchen French doors (needs to be narrow bc of the handles to open & close the doors) they arrived & the woven wood was so thick I couldn't even open the blinds past the door handles which was a problem for cleaning the glass doors. I told the rep I wanted to have light come through in the kitchen but even with the light filtering lining there was no light. The company agreed to make us different shades that might fit better so I just picked a simple fabric Roman with no backing when that product arrived it looked so unfinished & just cheap we were shocked. We tried to argue with the company that their product was just inferior but they did make us 2 sets of blinds at that point so I guess to them we were just annoying customers.
So for a year & a half I was afraid to commit to kitchen blinds at The Shade Store having paid so much money twice now & being dissatisfied. I called Maggie many times trying to figure out the best way to go & every time she was patient & helpful. I went to Paramus numerous times to look at different products Maggie would stand there some times for an hour & try to help me through it, it took me so long to make a decision I was so nervous to get it wrong a 3rd time & waste more money I just couldn't commit. Finally we picked a fabric called Jackson which is part of the woven wood collection Maggie explained that it could be made in a flat Roman shade only measuring 3/4 of an inch wide of course I had heard this story before from the other company, so being skeptical I went to see Maggie she showed me the product it truly was 3/4" wide & could also be made cordless in a wider version for the window in my kitchen finally after much research & many phone calls to Maggie we made the purchase knowing how beautiful our dining room came out. The shades have been up for a few months now & I am so pleased that I took my time & chose these blinds they are perfect. Very small frame on my French doors, cordless over my sink so I can just push up the shade without issue. I absolutely love them should have made the move sooner, but would have never gotten there without Maggie's help.
The Shade Store sells amazing quality products but most importantly their reps are incredibly patient , kind, knowledgeable & professional. In today's world of buying online I love that The Shade Store still has a place where I can go sit down & make a decision.

She is super knowledgeable, courteous, professional, patient and always open to suggestions and ideas; while, at the same time, willing to share her own expertise, personal experience and indispensable know-how. She is more than just great - she is super fantastic and goes "above and beyond" for her customers.

In essence, we found everything we wanted there and much more - all with an abundance of options, colors, styles and materials to choose from. But, in reality, we couldn't have done it without Marcie. Yes, the Paramus Shade Store is definitely "top notch". They go the extra mile for their customers. Their installation staff is also the very best. We are very grateful and fortunate to have found them and will not hesitant to refer our family, business associates and friends to them.
