Fresh, high quality, inexpensive ethnic produce. I wish they had more south Asian ingredients, but overall there seems to be a great selection of Caribbean, African, and east Asian ingredients. Common grocery store items (milk, eggs, butter) seem to be cheaper in ShopRite but tropical sun has way better produce.

I went to this supermarket and I bought the Golden Blend Products, BBQ sauce & Jerk sauce. They are great products, Tasty , rich in flavor and delicious, great price too. And clean environment great, customer service, go get yours Now.

Tropical Sun supermarket in East Orange is a true gem for anyone looking for Caribbean food and products. As soon as you walk through the door, you're transported back to the islands with the incredible selection of products and groceries that you just can't find anywhere else.

One of my favorite things about this supermarket is the amazing selection of island selections that they offer. From jerk seasoning and hot pepper sauce to coconut water and fresh plantains, they have everything you need to recreate your favorite island dishes at home.

My friend suggested I try this supermarket instead of making the trip all the way back to Brooklyn; no regrets, found what I needed and got a great welcome for my first purchase from the cashier, thanks a lot

I travel from PA to NJ just to get my ethnic foods from Tropical Sun both groceries and fish next door. Come on down and get the island experience for your west indies items.

I love it there was 1st time. It's not as expensive as Extra in East Orange. They had a lot of ginger candy. I understand they sell international products but there products shouldn't be so expensive for regular items like chicken

Great grocery store. I'm so lucky that i live nearby. Mostly African products, but they carry fresh fruits and veggies.

TAH! These jokers said 72 dollars for 3 snow crab clusters! I carried my black a** right to just be claws and got lemon pepper wings snow crab blue crabs lobster Mac and cheese shrimps and mussels for 80 bucks! You see how that dollar stretched

I love shopping at tropical Sun they are a little on the pricey side but hey food is going up everywhere u go but still I love shopping their service is very friendly and professional.....

As a Jamaican I appreciate that I can still get ataste of home, with the variety of Jamaican products sold here. Thank you.

Hello folks thanks for reading my review if you are new that's what's up and also new eye balls to lol okay nice and cool supermarket great prices good to get milk cereal fruit meats chips soda coffee and so on lines are short in and out that's what you need friendly staff here so come on down shop shop shop and don't forget to pick up some orange juice so if you are in the area just walk on nice parking lot in back of the store to peace

Gotta love em..Not a Shop Rite but when you need a quick item it's the only place I go..Never a long wait..esp. During height of Covid last year..They managed the crush expertly

Nice supermarket selling lots of international foods reasonably priced and almost always in stock. Highly recommend if you're from the islands and are looking for familiar foods to cook with. They have local foods and supplies as well.👍🏽
