Games of Berkeley holds a special place in my heart. As a long-time patron, I've seen them grow and evolve. While they're only human and can make mistakes, their commitment to customer satisfaction is unmatched. THIS is why they have earned my loyalty. Their dedication to making things right, even when things go awry, is truly commendable. With a history dating back decades, they've become more than just a store; they're a cherished part of the community. I only wish they were a little closer to Livermore.

TLDR: Big, open, inviting, helpful staff, well stocked and varied, and family friendly. Highly recommend.

Family is visiting Berkley to escape the Phoenix heat. When my son decided the summer camp MTG decks were nop up to par one of his camp mates suggested we go here. Boy are we glad we did and what an amazing place this is! Not only is this game shop huge and open but they carry a giant selection of games, cards, puzzles, and novelties. They have a sizable game room in the back and stuff to look at for days. Besides the size and variety here another big distinction is the staff. Back home our game shops are lorded over by mostly rude and obnoxious gate keepers who scoff at newbies and their parent asking " dumb questions", not at Games Of Berkeley folks.. Wow are they friendly and helpful and best of all, inviting. I had serious apprehensions about my son meeting his buds for a few rounds of cards at the stores in phx because some of the other players can be mean and horribly foul mouthed and have no regard for anyone else in the area. I would not have the same concern here.

If you're a board game, cards, or game night fanatic, this is the place for you. So many games to choose from with such great variety from the classics to your newer additions. They even had a game room which I assume they host game events which is pretty cool.

The guy working there was super helpful in suggesting us some great games and was so passionate about telling us his favorites- it was such a wholesome and pleasant experience!

Super new to gaming and the staff was so helpful with choosing out my first die set!! Was able to get in and out quick, but it's definitely a store you could wander and explore with the friendly layout and gaming room in the back!!

Specifically went to check out their disc golf selection. Great place! Worth the drive and challenge of finding parking on the weekend. They require masks but offer at the front door if you don’t have one which is a great service.

don't be "that" person. don't toss the frisbees they sell inside the store!!! in fact, don't even touch them unless you live to frolf and plan to 110% buy one. look at them from a safe distance and resume your tabletop game browsing.

They have an excellent selection of games, and tables in the back if you want to play or run some.

I have been going to this store for years and I'm glad their new location is up and running. Excellent selection of games and easygoing helpful staff. Dogs are allowed in the store!

Fun place to spend some time. There's more board games than I'd ever seen and a good selection at that. They also have a few games left out for you to just try as you walk around

Very good game store located near UC Berkley. Knowledge staff that is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of games at very fair prices. Along with a big selection of game supplies (dice, counters, chips, etc). We haven't rented game space/library yet, but it's on our to-do list so we can try a few games before we buy them.

There are not many local game stores like this left.

GoB has one of the largest selections of current board, card, and other games on the West Coast as well as ample, well-maintained event space to support various gaming communities.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about games and the industry and is courteously available to always lend assistance or talk shop.

Such an amazing store. Tons of games and largest puzzle selection iv ever seen. Was visiting in town. Such a shame stores like these in this size don’t exist in Phoenix anymore. Keep up the business!

Best place to buy games!! Not only do they have a huge selection of games, but they've been in the business for decades and can answer all your questions. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be sure to check out the section of games from local game producers! So cool that they support local artists! They also support local gaming events and teams. I love when shops support their communities the way they do. I'll be their customer for life.

One of the best game stores I've ever visited. They have everything, and a nice, big, new location. Sweet staff!

Games of Berkeley was a staple of my childhood, and over 20 years later I still love going there! Everyone is super friendly and they offer a great community space for gamers. Their new(ish) location is fantastic too! Makes me happy to see how much they've grown.

Really cool, really interesting place. From the front door to the back of the shop, you are greeted with smiles and a "can I help with something?". Although a bit pricey, almost everything there is top quality. Good place to buy a board game, or pick up a knick-knack

Again, super impressed with the selection of items available at this store. The gaming community here is next level.

Specifically I enjoy their tarot card selection and their staff is well versed and have educated opinions of each deck available, even more so than most metaphysical stores.

The staff were really nice here, and the store has a lot of different games of all different sizes and levels of difficulty. They also have a nice playing area out the back, with great facilities.
