Oh my god Reyes is an absolute gem. I got the Al pastor burrito toro bravo (rice beans pico jalapeño cheese) and it’s one of the best burritos I’ve had in NYC.

Also their chips are so fresh and salsa (which they sell separately if you want a little jar) is so good—flavorful and smokey and fresh.

Can’t wait to come back.

Stumbled across this place while running errands. The al pastor tacos were my favorite. They were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I came around noon and there was quite a wait, but it was worth it. I would definitely return.

As the reviews all suggest, the al pastor tacos are incredible. Staff is great. Tiny little seating area in the back. Great spot.

Absolutely delicious Al Pastor tacos. Also, everyone that works here is really nice. Probably my favorite place to get tacos in all of Brooklyn.

We used Reyes deli catering for my husbands birthday at a nearby bar and they were so awesome to work with. We got a mix of tacos and tamales and they brought everything we could need to the bar. From trays, to heaters, to jugs for the Jamaica and told us to keep all the supplies. Al pastor tacos are my favorite. These guys rock and Mike is great to work with.

Absolutely delicious! It was reasonably priced and is a great quick stop. I was just visiting the city but hope I get the opportunity to eat here again!

Best Taco's in Brooklyn at the lowest price. Their sauce is insane!!!

My personal favorite are their spicy chicken tacos. In a huge city with awful Mexican food this place is a gem....and sooo affordable!

This is not your ordinary Brooklyn bodega, although it makes sense to assume as much. From the outside, it's completely nondescript, which is good news for regular patrons. All the usual suspects are here: canned goods, kitty litter, chips and sodas. But the real star of the show is Ishmael, the store's cook.

Ishmael makes all the usual fare, such as the bacon-egg-and-cheese-on-a-roll (a virtual food group here in NYC), but it's the authentic Mexican that really takes off here. If you need tacos, you're covered--just watch the line, which can get 8 deep or more at lunch time!

The store's patrons represent the full mix of Brooklyn, but it is worth noting that Spanish-speaking locals make up the preponderance of those ordering hot foods. My first clue that the food was good was a line of construction workers stretching from back to front.

Ishmael cooks everything fresh, so be prepared to wait--nothing is pre-cooked here. He uses corn (not flour) tacos and tortillas, and though I wouldn't call this place 'dirt cheap', it is hot, fresh, and fairly-priced. A big bistec quesadilla will run you $7, which makes for a substantial meal and a great taste out.

I have been getting my fish tacos here for 8 years. You need to call ahead because it takes time. 2 tacos is enough for lunch because they are pretty big and they have a good amount of avocado on them. The hot sauce (red and green) are both home made and very good. It’s the best lunch around. The guy behind the counter isn’t friendly but I still go because the tacos are good.

Hard to miss here. Get the tamales if you’re there on the weekend!

Looks like any other bodega, but there's a twist. The owner's mom makes amazing hot sauce down in the basement. It's full-flavored and smokey and made us both take notice. They sell it for $5 a jar, but you have to ask!

I stumbled upon this place when I was roaming around looking for breakfast. According to my local friends, I found the jackpot for my first ever bodega. Good prices and phenomenal breakfast tacos. Highly recommend!!

Went there late night to buy some bananas and ended up eating 4 tacos! The place is authentic, has friendly staff, and portions are large and also cheaper.

Always so good :) The carnitas tacos are perfect and fresh. And they sell the best soda ever, Squirt.

I've been coming here for about 4 years consistently and they've never disappointed. The food is fresh and very high quality. There's a lot of flavor to be found in every dish I've had. Their red and green hot sauces are homemade and very tasty.
The customer service is top notch as well. I always chat with Leo and the other guys when I come by. Sometimes there's a little wait for the food because of the volume of demand but it is worth it every time.
Easily one of the better spots for authentic Mexican food cooked with love and pride.
