Great store! Unbelievable treasures from the past here. Any dork, nerd or geek would feel right at home in this store. Make sure to chat with the owner, he's awesome!

Used electronics store had what I needed when no one else in town did. Fair price. Great selection. Interesting customer service.

Someone else wrote that they had a whole word document for a review because they reached the word limit. Honestly that's what made me want to go and I'd love to read it.

I'll level with you. The place is cluttered and appears (with careful observation) to be semi-organized in a way only Jim (the owner) seems to know where things are. If you're a big 6'3 guy like me, you'll worry about knocking things over.

If you need some weird electronic contraption you'd only order online, this guy probably has it right there. This is my second time in his store as I live out of region and the first time I went a year ago, he had an obscure portable digital shortwave radio I was looking for. On a lark, I went back in today to ask about an external shortwave antenna and had a handful to choose from which is weird for any brick and mortar store to have. Has a great selection of portable Bluetooth speakers which he let me try out before buying.

If you're an electronics enthusiast and need that weird odd or end, a car stereo, or just a Bluetooth speaker, Jim appears to be very knowledgeable and his prices are fair. Yes, it looks like an episode of Hoarders in there and expect digging to happen to find anything, so for that I dinged it a star because I always felt like I was going to knock something over.

If you're looking for Best Buy level super smiley customer service, go elsewhere. You'll be dissatisfied here. If you can take a hoard and less than average people skills in exchange for knowledgeable service, you'll be fine.

It's pretty alright. I imagine he has everything electronic-device related.

This place has just about anything that's electronic, or old school. I love just walking into the place, it's like a frickin electronic hoarders museum.

Whenever I've been in need of obscure computer hardware, Hy Tech came through for me. The owner is...eccentric, and the store is packed - walking room only from shelf to shelf, but I suspect they're doing the best they can with the space they have.

Although, sometimes their hoard works against them. They have a monitor I want to buy - and he wants to sell it, but it's buried so deeply that they simply can't get to it during normal business hours. The owner has said he'll dig it up and has taken my number 3 times as I've gone in to check with him, but after 6 months, it still hasn't happened. I think I, and subsequently he, would've been better off if he didn't offer the monitor to me to begin with.

One of those shops where you're expected to know the exact item you want before entering. If that doesn't make sense to you, which it likely won't, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Today was an odd day as me and my best friend visited the store around lunch time (a horrible time to visit I am aware but I did call ahead of time and confirm the store had an item that I was seeking).
Sadly the store owner treated me and my best friend disrespectfully and spitefully, thus I will not be visiting this store, or buy from online, again.
This review box has a max length so I can not go into much detail but I have typed up my details into a Word document and will be keeping it handy.
If you have read the other reviews on this store then you will know by now to be CAREFUL AND CAUTIOUS when going into/around this store.
Be Safe everyone and Try to Have Fun!
