Play It Again Sports Northbrook

Can't say enough good things about the staff at this location! Extremely friendly and helpful. I've been here many times to pickup used (and new) sports equipment, but today I stopped by just to ask a question about applying bat grips. Without requiring me to purchase anything, Adam offered to put a new grip on my son's bat (that I'd purchased at a different store) for no charge and even graciously turned me down when I offered him a tip. Absolutely incredible customer service!

I was very satisfied with my experience at the store. Employees were nice and helpful but the store manger Rob helped us the most. He took time and helped us find a perfect hockey skates and figure skates. I recommend visiting when he is there.

Rob was seriously amazing today! He helped me completely gear up my kiddo for hockey season. This place is so good, I never go anywhere else.

My partner and I came to this location the night before his flag football tournament for cleats and gloves. We found a nice pair of cleats his size and brand new gloves someone brought in the day before. We were able to find everything we needed quickly and for a lot less than anticipated!

My daughter found rollerblades that fit her well very quickly, even without assistance, and the pads/wrist guards were right there! Good prices.

Have three kids in sports, we buy all of our equipment here. The store is stocked and usually has what we need. Friendly, knowledgeable service, we especially like working with Steve. It’s amazing how much he knows about each sport. He is always patient with our kids and is great with customer service to go out of his way to find equipment, calls when items come into the store we requested. Rob, the store manager, and steve, the assistant store manager, were most excellent. They help me find the exact right pair of skates, knowing nothing about hockey skates, their expertise and advice was very helpful, reassuring, and ultimately led to a purchase I'm happy with.

I have been going to Play it Again Sports in Northbrook since my now 11 year old turned 5 and began playing T-Ball, Soccer, Basketball, and Hockey. I also have twin 8 years olds and thanks to Rob Blunk and Steve Daniels' expert advice, i've been able to equip them either through hand me downs from their older brother or new and second hand merchandise from Play it Again Northbrook! I always get honest advice and fair pricing on everything I've ever purchased or resold back to them. In addition, I met the new owner Kevin Mattingly during the pandemic, he has completely transformed the business with great merchandise along with a remodeled look! They now have batting cages where my three sons can demo bats before buying them! I truly appreciate their honesty and expert advice!

I got my ski equipment from here. Mr Mark is a very Nice and Joyous guy. Got a pair of skies And went home And tested the bindings with the ski boots. Unfortunately , the bindings on one were defective în a manner that even the store manager could not figured out how was possible to be hidden like this. Went back the next day and got another pair of skies which I did love the same day on the slopes of Mount Wilmot in Wisconsin.
Knowledgeable staff, friendly and a lot of items to choose from. Beats the hell out of Sports Authority at new item prices. The second hand stuff...well is second hand but there are some snowboards amazingly new at dirt cheap prices. Boots too.
Overall I brought 3 more friends and nobody complain at all. We're all happy to see that we don't spend thousands of dollars for stuff that get used only few times a year.

Play it again sports is an Amazing store. My 3 sisters are all hockey players. We found everything we needed for an amazing price. It was 40 dollars less than what we expected. I definitely recommend this store because it's an all sports store, It's not just hockey.

This is a great place to get a set of hockey gear without breaking the bank. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. They even made a small repair to the equipment before we left. I wasn't expecting that!

Ive made it a habit to stop by here now and to check out what new golf clubs they've got. Best selection and prices compared to the other locations.

Great place to take sports equipment. Takes everything from basketballs, baseball bats, gloves, and even frisbee golf discs.
