Don't let this place fool you. It looks small on the outside but inside he has a great inventory. Very knowledgeable and just ask for deals on his great selection of wines. You will get higher end wines for very reasonable prices.

Captain's is a e cellent place to find quality beverages, regardless of your preference. They have wide selections for any palate. If you're in the area and looking for something a little hard to find, try Captain's. Friendly staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

I drive from lake placid to captains. They have 1/4 and 1/2 barrels of draft beer . I've never seen such a selection of alcohol 🍸 anywhere. Awesome place to shop

I wanted to make sure to recognize my great experience tonight. I was purchasing just a bottle of vodka and the cashier ( I wish I had caught his name) said I wanted a smooth ,great quality vodka I should try the one on the display near the front. it was originally marked for 30 dollars and on special for 10 dollars. I so appreciated him telling me about that and it was a great vodka I found after purchasing. The clerk was so friendly and kind. It really was a great experience and you should know he is a fantastic employee. Thanks again!😊

They literally have a taste of everything. The staff is helpful and incredibly friendly. Their prices are really good too. Definitely a place you should go to get drinks for entertaining guests, or to try something new.

I began collecting bourbon a year ago following a spinal fusion that left me with limited mobility. I visited several area liquor stores and all seemed to have the same offerings. After collecting the top-rated bourbons under $100, I began seeking higher-end, hard to find bottles. The only store to have these somewhat available was Captain’s Liquor In Port Charlotte. Other stores would require up to a minimum $5000. purchase, in order to even be considered for these rare allocated bottles hidden under their counters. If Captains didn’t have the products I sought, the manager (Pranav) would do his best to obtain them. With Pranav’s support, I have one of the top collections in the area. This commitment to my hobby has resulted in my becoming a very loyal customer. I desire to offer my guests a superior cocktail and we entertain a lot. The selection at Captains is superior not just in bourbon, but in all liquor categories. If you’re looking for the best available at the value, I highly recommend you provide your highest consideration to Captain’s Liquor.

Love this liquor store... They were the only place I could find my favorite rum around here, and when I couldn't find it one time I mentioned it to the store owner and it was on the shelf again my next time in. Great prices and the owner is very nice.

This place is my favorite liquor store I’ve ever been too. Always a great selection of whiskeys and craft beers, open when other stores aren’t, but the best part is the owner. He always remembers you and try’s to make your experience great. I go out of my way to come here instead of other stores.
