Update on my previous review:
Elevator smell is fixed. It is safe to go with a stroller or people with disabilities.

Previous review:

Elevators on both sides are stinky with pee and dirty. It is really not recommended for people with disabilities and people with strollers to use those elevators.

Staff is always polite and helpful though

Clean and organized. Didn’t buy anything, but they had some cute Christmas decor.

Huge selection. Lots of cool inexpensive items. Forget Temu. Shop here instead.

I love this place, love their selection and customer service - especially their wonderful associate Lisa! She’s always helpful, knowledgeable about the store and a pleasure to talk to!

Reasonable prices and verity of selection in food, clothing and small electronic. Bought very nice bag for my wife 🙌🏻

This is my store. But downtown Chicago near Jackson and state street is soo deserted. But I went to TJ maxx and Burlington. Burlington is below Maxx. The photo is of me at Burlington. Trying out the new hat I purchased from Burlington.

Great place to get all kind of goods. It's usually not very busy. Clean restrooms.

This is one of the better TJ Maxx stores I’ve been to. The men’s clothing department is larger than most other locations and it’s packed with a lot to choose from. The checkout line was long but staff worked hard to shorten everyone’s wait. I’d return here if I’m traveling in the area and need to buy something that I forgot at home.

Place was labeled thoroughly and the prices were good. It's where I got this beautiful suitcase @ 4 69 bucks.

I love this store, but they need to hire more Personable leaders. I was in this store last week and overheard a coordinator talking to a
employee with so much disrespect it’s sad. This is the same company that rejected me for leadership, 6 years ago. I went on to become a manager for a company that respects me. I would NEVER talk to my team the way she spoke to that young lady: I will still shop at this store for sure. I understand you all like to hire within, but make sure your people are truly ready for that role.

Love the jewelry selection, plenty of shoes and purses to choose from. Also lots of dressy work clothes. Good selection of high end brands. At times disorganized which can be frustrating. Great selection of spices, oils, dressings, snacks, etc. Great prices too! Really like this one. I keep going back again and again.

I enjoy the sales, summer dresses, baby section, bedspeads, and so on. This store is a part of my therapy for the day. To get away to peacefulness to browse or buy . THANK YOU.

Love this bargain store. They have a good selection of bags and purses. We bought many shoes and boots, some athletic, some fancy. They carry many brand name clothing like Micheal kors winter coats, Nike shorts and t-shirts and Adidas sweaters at very low price. They also have a good selection of bedding and bathroom items.

everyone inside is very sweet.
this tj maxxx has products that seem a little less special than other tj maxxxes i have been to. fewer “brand name” wares.
usually the other customers are scarce and well behaved. i like to walk around here at lunch time.
however it does seem that this tj max is frequented by at least one “grazer”. someone who snacks on items from the gourmet kitchen aisle and discards the half eaten snack and wrapper elsewhere in the store.
i have noticed this with a bag sun dried figs, and with a package of pink macaroons.
maybe tj maxxx could start offering free samples. as a compromise.

People were very nice!

If it had not been for a wonderful woman named Angela (I hope I remembered her name right) who had helped me in the fitting room area, I would not have had such a good experience out shopping today. A BIG THANK YOU to Angela for the kindness and patience she showed me at the State St. TJMaxx. Amazing employees will keep your happy customers returning and bringing their friends. Thank you!

The prices are great! I always find cute things and some designer labels. Very easy to get to on public transportation. The store is usually neat and well organized,v and the staff are friendly and helpful

TJ Maxx is a great store due to Covid there new merchandise is coming in slowly but accurate TJ Maxx merchandise is fantastic
you won't be disappointed and there clearances area can't stay in there department long enough because of there low prices so come on down they don't charge you for looking you will be amaze

This place is so spacious and located in a very nice place. I always love to do my shopping here because I feel relaxed even if it is during busy and crowded days, it feels like I still have lots of space to keep moving around and it is just so easy for me to find the things I wanted to buy because they have a really nice arrangement for every item.
