I can't tell you how excited I am to have found such an amazing Hobbyshop like this!! 😍 they have everything from knowledge, mechanical skills, and inventory!!! Brought my rustler in on a whim to see maybe if they could figure out my problem.

I walked into the store and was kinda scared to ask for help, how their customer service makes you feel right at home! Not long after I walked a few isles, I was immediately asked if I needed help.

A quick turn of the wrench 🔧 and they knew exactly what was wrong! They fixed it the right way, very quickly. Even offered advice and tips on certain things! 👌

All in all. The world needs more stores like this. 10/10 you have secured a customer! Get ready for the referrals!!!! 👏👏👏

The best hobby shop in the st.louis area. It's my go to for all my aeroplane models and supplies. Their prices are awesome. The best customer service.

great rc shop, knowledgeable and professional staff, plus the ladies up front always say hello and smile when you enter. prices are very competitive with the online stores, you don’t have to wait for parts, and if you do purchase the wrong part they have an easy return policy.

Love, love, loved my visit here! They have so much stuff!! The store is easy to find from Gravois on the 270 side. It is organized, clean, the staff is friendly, the prices are great and they have a rewards system. Shout out to Adam for installing the lift and monster tires on our new RC truck! It is now my new favorite hobby shop!

They have the best local bead selection . And a vast selection of other arts and craft supplies. Schaefers and all the helpful and kind people who work there have helped me grow so much as a jewelry artist over the last 10 years ! They are willing to help . I love when I can shop here. Absolutely love this place! I’m like a kid in a candy store, but that’s what this place is about…it brings anyone who steps in the front door happiness! The staff is always friendly and helpful…especially Russel…he is always sooo happy to help, you can tell of his passion for model building and the likes.

Great shop for anyone looking to build models or grab the tools they need to do so, not to mention everything else they have. Some of the best prices on gunpla in the St. Louis area too.

Fantastic customer service! A couple of my kids radio controlled toys needed help. They spent the time and effort to assist in what was needed!

I love their selection of miniatures and supplies to make miniatures. My Grandchildren love the Remote-Controll Cars.

Ive been going to Schaefer's all my life, starting back in the day, on Meramec and Virgina! And of course, this visit was fun, as usual. And found far more than I was looking for, as usual! There is a reason that have been around as long as they have!

Very cool place. Has a ton of stock on both traditional "his" and "her" hobbies from beads, painting, woodcraft, stitching, vehicle modeling, radio control planes, slot cars, trains, and more. Was a joy just to walk around the aisles and think creatively. Had lots of the craft paints as well as the model paints in Testors and Tamiya but not Vallejo. Friendly and well staffed with quite a few employees on hand to help out.

Awesome selection of RTR kits and parts. Great family friendly environment.

Been going here for two years, and I think it's time I finally updated this review. Please note I only go here for Gunpla models, so if you're looking for other specifics please look elsewhere.

Gunpla Stuff:
Schaefers is a fantastic, fantastic store in regards to Gunpla. They have a great selection ranging from Perfect grade down to a few Entry Grade. I personally wish they would pick up a few Master Grades, but they occasionally get some oldies in there for variety. They have recently expanded the isle giving even more space which is fantastic. They also are typically below or at what you'd get online, though I've found some great deals that don't come close to online. Some of the staff in the modeling department also know their stuff, and they pick out some great models to stock.

General stuff:
Never have I had a bad experience going here. Staff is always super friendly and always has a smile.

A few weeks ago, I bought a scale model kit from the store, only to discover later that day after they closed that it was missing some parts. I went back there a few days later, told them my issue, and we were able to find a spare and check it’s contents. It had everything in it, and they exchanged it.
They have some of the friendliest and nicest employees there! I highly recommend them for anything related to scale models.

This place is wonderful. My mom and her bf came in town and we stopped in for laughs. He’s and old school slot car and model guy. He looked like a kid in a candy store, exclaiming they had nothing close to a shop like this in Florida anywhere between Orlando and Daytona. Found 2 uncommon/hard to find models and bought them. I’m a regular for rc parts, the guys know their stuff and are very helpful. Not pushy but honestly helpful. They’ll order something for you if they don’t stock it. Ordered a part Monday and had it on Friday. Patronize this place so we don’t have to say I wish we had a good hobby shop anymore.

This place has just about every hobby related thing you can think, from scrapbooking to rockets, baseball cards and Pokemon cards and just about everything else you could imagine. Went in to get stuff for building a Pinewood Derby car and not only did I find what my son and I needed but the people working there are super friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store. Needless to say, I am super impressed with the whole experience except for the parking lot, only because it was apparently the day when everyone that doesn't know how to drive or park was in their lot! Aside from that tiny issue, I highly recommend Schaefer's Hobby for all your hobby needs!!
