Best shop in the springs, wide variety of tea and spices. The lady running it has such a high level of knowledge and is so sweet. Got a variety pack and tried out the banana nut muffin tea. The spice selection is incomparable. They have cooking spice blends that will make you want to start cooking! Delicious and appetizing.

We might be obsessed with tea... And that's okay when you have such varied and delicious tea options at the Tea and Spice Exchange in Idaho Springs CO.
The ladies in the shop were very sweet and helpful. Several mouth watering suggestions were given and more and more spices and teas added to our little shopping basket.
They even brew any tea available in the shop for you to take and enjoy either hot or iced.
Thank you ladies! We enjoyed walking around charming Idaho Springs with fresh brewed tea warming us on a cool day.

Great REAL teas. I love the blood orange. We started using monkfruit sweetener to try to get off of the sugar wagon.

I drove all the way to this store from Colorado Springs just to restock on the Hazelnut Cookie and Earl Grey Creme teas.
The selection of teas is much wider than that and with some of the herbs and spices they sell you can even try making your own blends.
Speaking of... They have a great selection of herbs, spices, salts, and flavored sugars. All excellent for producing gourmet dishes.
One of very few places that sells TRUE CEYLON CINNAMON.
Absolutely worth a visit if you are in town and the staff there is helpful and friendly.

Such a fun little stop!! I went in thinking I would just smell a few spices while we waited for breakfast and didn't really need to buy anything but Logan changed my mind!! He was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! I bought a few different things, one of them being a strawberry monk fruit sweetener. I told him I didn't even know what I would use it for but it smelled so amazing I had to get it and he gave me several ideas of what I could do with it! He is a fantastic employee to have and is the reason I even got anything. Definitely recommend this fun little shop.

We stopped in town for a hike and the hot springs. Glad we stopped here. I got some truffle salt and truffle garlic as a gift... they gave a great selection of spices and teas... its definitely worth a stop! Everyone working was kind and helpful in helping me locate things to purchase

I went in with some specific spices in mind. Logan was so helpful and knowledgeable! I left with everything I needed and some things I didn't. Love this shop!

I was passing through Idaho Springs on my way home to Ohio and stopped in this store. The store is filled with so many wonderful spices and teas I ended up buying over $80 worth. Logan was very helpful as I made my selections and told him what a gem the store is. After leaving the store I stopped at a local restaurant for lunch and then headed back to Ohio. 2 hours later I realized I had left my bag of purchases in the restaurant! I called Logan and again he was so helpful and friendly. He remembered me and went down to the restaurant I had eaten at and retrieved my bag of purchases and then proceeded to ship them to me. I received them 2 days later. I'm so grateful to Logan and want to tell as many people as I can to go to the Spice Exchange and shop with Logan!

I love this place! They have an awesome, eccentric vibe that's very adventurous, almost like the hull of an old ship. Their tea blends are insanely adventurous as well and I always know that I'll find something unique that I've never tried before when I go there. They also have awesome spices and lots of beautiful and sustainable teaware.

So cute! The teas I got are amazing, the comfort is my favorite and helped me sleep so so well which is so rare. The woman who helped us, I didn’t get her name, is an absolute doll. She had salt and pepper long hair. She was so helpful and sweet. I’m not from Colorado but I’ll be back and definitely stopping in.

I’m From New York & Stopped in town to eat, while we were waiting I was delighted to see a tea shop and had to go in, the blonde woman who took care of me was the nicest and most helpful. I had a hot ginger tea, it was so good I came back after I finished the cup for another. Will definitely be coming back before I go back home!

We LOVED our experience at the first Chef Series with Westbound & Down!!!

The meal (included 2 savory dishes, a dessert, 2 cocktails and a tea!!) was delicious, fresh, bright, and beautifully prepared & presented. The chefs & mixologist from Westbound as well as the owner of The Spice & Tea Exchange were all super friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Not only did we enjoy a fantastic meal, we also received recipes from the night as well as spices that were used in the dishes. It was such a fun night and we would highly recommend it!!

Also, the store itself is great with lots of fragrant spices and teas!!

Loved the Spice and Tea Exchange! I felt so welcomed there and was spoken too and greeted when I came in, unlike Gypsum Rose Mineral shop and Majestic Art Gallery where I was not greeted and or made to feel welcome at all. I ended up buying several teas and some herbs. I am drinking a cup of Lemon Verbena right now and I was just thinking about how I am going to get more! Thank you all once again for making my trip in special. I will make it a point to stop in and support you all when I am in the area. Stevie Nicks playing in the background while I shopped, you just had an awesome vibe in there. The owners should be proud.
