Absolutely beautiful and wonderful place and people. I have helped them with transport now and then over the last 6 (?) years and I've never seen a mistreated dog or cat. They're all pretty spoiled but so ready for you to take one home I adopted two dogs from them and am so thankful that I did! Here they are, partners in crime and budding athletes.

I adopted a beautiful Chow girl from this place. It was a great fit, because they actually let me spend a significant amount of time with her before committing to adoption, which made sure she would be a good match for me. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and it is a fantastic shelter.

Just posted a pic of our Baby Girl standing in our window checking out the squirrels and birds. We came in looking for a different dog and were disappointed when it did not work out. We were ready to leave with no new furr buddy when the staff said wait why don't you check out this dog we have that no one has looked at. We went to meet her went for a walk and sat down when she jumped in between us and gave hugs. We never looked back she has been with us ever since and is the best dog ever. Thank you for our forever buddy.

Scott & I Love Sue's/Clear Creek Shelter!!! Our "Albert doodles" was adopted from them, 2017. He is so awesome! We highly recommend them if you are considering a pet...we 'fostered' Albert & (Alexis kitty) to make sure we were a good fit. Great program, great website.

My family and I adopted both our fur babies here. The workers are nice and compassionate and show lots of love to all the animals. Each animal comes with a couple essentials (such as a bag of food) to help the animals adjust to their new homes, and the best part its affordable! They adjust to each animals needs accordingly and are an absolute amazing animal shelters. Thank you so much for everything you do for your animals!

I bring animals to the shelter after they have been transported from other places. The staff is always high quality, it's clean, and when I drop the animals off I always feel like I am bringing them to a safe place. I also know they do everything they can to adopt these animals out and they also work very closely with the animals on behavior before they go two new families. Trustworthy on all levels.

The animals are inexpensive shots, spay, neutering, and chipped are inclusive. We found a new addition to our family. You get to take them home first. Of course you fall in live with them. Well worth the drive. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Love what they are doing! Keep up the great work-Charlie's Place!

Wonderful facility with an amazing staff. The outdoor "In Memory" walking area is a very thoughtful touch, as well.

AKA Charlie's Place. My parents got their Red Healer here. She was abandoned at a young age and needed a good home. This is a no kill shelter so when you adopt from here they can house another animal that might be at a high kill shelter giving it more of a chance to find a home. Rescued animals are forever grateful and make great companions

Absolutely the most incredible well-organized and well built the shelter in Colorado. Of course it's in the mountains but there is an abundance of space and these rescues have been cared for more than you would imagine.

I adopted a blind dog that was on a kill list from Texas. Although I didn't have Dash very long (only a few months until he died), I fell in love with him and he with me too. They do a great job at saving lives of many beautiful dogs and cats.

I drive rescue transport and deliver to this shelter weekly. They are amazing! They clearly care about the animals and are great about getting them adopted quickly. But no matter where you go, please adopt...don't shop.
