The Banana Leaf

We dropped in with a crew of 11 guys for a bachelor party. The food was fantastic, and the service superb. Super tasty meat that was cooked just right, with great seasoning. Very friendly owner and staff that accommodated our large group by allowing us to join up multiple table.

The owners were in today when we had lunch. They were so friendly! I had the quarter chicken and it was PERFECTLY done. We also had the Hmong spring rolls which were excellent as well. If I lived in Idaho Springs, I’d probably be a regular.

I came up here for my birthday and grab some dinner. The owners were really nice and welcoming. Delicious food!! Really cute little atmosphere a perfect spot to stop by on the way home from skiing or before going to the hot springs.

Delicious food, friendly owners and great experience. Coming from out of town, we were able to find home with these delicious food. Definitely will come back to visit again. You will not be disappointed!! A must try location!!

We are locals and this is the first time we tried banana leaf and oh my gosh it was so good. My husband says "that's the best food I've had in town". Everyone who works there and the owner were super sweet too.

Best green curry I have ever had, and the lemongrass tofu was perfect. I’m so excited for something new and exciting in town! 100% worth the stop, and the people working were beyond friendly and helpful!!

I was really excited to find a Hmong food restaurant here. The menu is easy to navigate and staff are very friendly. Most importantly, the food is really good! I had the steak laab and egg rolls (made with Hmong sausage- very tasty!). They have pho on weekends as well. Worth a stop if you are visiting the area!

What a lovely find in the area. Delicious vegetarian food that was full of flavor. The staff was just lovely to talk to, and very welcoming.

We had the green curry tofu and lemongrass tofu after going to the springs nearby and absolutely devoured everything.

I have finally found my go-to meal in town! The closest I've come to the Indonesian food I grew up on. Absolutely delicious Green Curry!!!! 💚

Great new place in Idaho Springs! The food is flavorful like nothing else in town. The serving size was perfect, I had the steak laj/laab. I also tried the tofu and it was the best tofu I've ever had. I will be trying the whole menu, nice place :)

What a delight to find in Idaho Springs! I shared the Lemongrass tofu and the Vegetarian Green Curry. Omg the flavors were magical!!! Nuanced and so tasty! We will definitely be back! You have to come try for yourself!

Five stars all around. We love to swing by Idaho Springs when we're in the area and have regularly tried different food in the area. When we noticed Banana Leaf was new and open we rushed in. We're super glad we did.

We ordered the lemongrass chicken and the Hmong sausage with spicy fish sauce. The grill on the chicken was nothing but perfection and the accompanying peanut sauce was insanely good. The Hmong sausage was similarly cooked to perfection and the spicy fish sauce added amazing depth of flavor and enjoyable spice level.

The family run business is a perfect addition to Idaho Springs, and we're excited for our next trip back for more excellent food.

Idaho Springs really needed a non-burger place, and The Banana Leaf hits the spot. Apparently almost everything on the menu is gluten-free and celiac friendly too.

Wow! I hardly ever post reviews but I feel so inclined because I was truly impressed with the quality of food and people here! The owner of the restaurant (so sorry, I forgot your name!) recommended that I order the Marinated Steak (i believe it was C3 on the menu) with herbs and rice and OMG — so tender, so juicy, so flavorful! I’m not huge on mint, so that was the only downside for me.

It was the perfect meal as I was passing through town and didn’t want the typical tourist restaurant. I wanted healthy, clean delicious food and that’s what I found! Huge shoutout to the owner and the chef here. Do yourself a favor and check out Banana Leaf!

Banana Leaf is a fantastic Southeast Asian restaurant that offers an unforgettable culinary experience. The stuffed chicken wing is a must-try dish, bursting with flavors and textures. The warm ambiance and attentive service make dining here a true delight. Highly recommended!

Run here!! It’s such a welcome addition to Idaho Springs where most of the food, while delicious, is pizza and burgers. Well priced and incredibly flavorful! I recommend the Green Curry - yum!

The owners family has celiac in the family too so the food is mostly gluten free (except spring rolls and wontons which are fried and contain gluten) which isn’t labeled on the menu but any gluten questions can be answered at the counter. Even the fried rice is gluten free! Which anyone who knows the gluten free life knows is a rare treat. Felt safe knowing they had answers about the food and allergies ready when asked.

We make a point to stop here every time we are headed back to Boulder from the mountains. The food is outstanding.
