LeNell's Beverage Boutique

That was an educational, fun visit with a few roads down memory lane. Some bottles I hadn't seen since I moved to Alabama, some I hadn't seen since I had moved to the States. I was offered some samples and left happy with a few bottles of never ever seen spirits.
If you are looking for a vermouth that has pronounced vanilla notes or is cinnamon forward, when you need a bourbon that you cannot get anywhere else, a gin from Sweden or France, this is the place to go and find it. Bring some time to learn something new and socialize with the proprietor and staff.

I always find something super interesting when I visit LeNell's and I appreciate how she has tons of price points available. Her specials and insider deals are lots of fun: most recent sighting - "show us your tattoo and we'll give you a discount on this bottle of wine (brand had something to do with tattoos)" - she also usually has something available for tasting which really helps when you're trying to make a purchasing decision.

This is the best package store in the south, if not one of the best in the country. Their tastings are out of this world and the staff knows about every bottle in the store. They also carry a huge selection of bitters and can help you learn how to make amazing mixed drinks. It is incredibly rare to find a business owner who cares about their customers and their experience like LeNell does. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting and picking up a rare bottle to try out!

In my quest for something different outside of the normal, this place exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the brands, and made helpful suggestions. I love the location! I will definitely be a regular here!

This boutique is definitely a one of a kind gem in Birmingham, if not all of Alabama. The attention to detail and customer service is beyond excellent. This is a must-go for all of your beverage needs.

LeNell's is a great little spot to find a good variety of what seems like hand-picked spirits, liqueurs & everything else you need for crafting high-quality cocktails. The have a selection for N/A cocktail lovers as well. I even found a few bottles of Mexican Cake in there; a bone to those of us who enjoy big stouts. Best of all, the staff is very knowledgeable about what's on the shelves and will share as much as you'd like to help decide what to try. They have frequent tasting events too. By far my favorite spot to find the good stuff.

This is almost certainly the best, most diverse, most adventurous spirit shop in the state - a control state that makes doing independent spirits business a challenge. Fortunately, LeNell's manages to navigate the red tape and get the best. What you will find is a tidy shop with hand-picked selections, staffed by lovely people who will get your needs expertly sorted. The shop also hosts talks and tastings, so get on the list.

We love LeNell's! Wonderful curated selection with the coolest, most helpful staff in town. I have purchased many wines, liqueurs, and aperitifs that I could not find elsewhere. There are tastings just about every weekend- I rarely leave them empty-handed.

Excellent selection of spirits. Best selection of bitters in town, maybe the whole state. If you're looking for something special, this is the place.

If a certain liquor isn't at the state store or you really like high end bourbons or making cocktails is your thing and you haven't been here?
Then you're not being true to who you really are.
It's like that. A true alcohol lover's joint.
And it isn't all expensive stuff. They got the real deal, bonded Evan Williams bourbon, for under 30 bucks a fifth. Others too.
Worth the trip.

LeNell’s is the embodiment of everything that is best about the “shop local” experience.

I made a stop by LeNell’s yesterday to pick up a last minute Christmas present. As with all of my previous visits, it was a terrific experience.

The staff at LeNell’s is AMAZING! Knowable, thoughtful and can give excellent recommendations if you are looking for some guidance. They are never pushy or condescending (a welcome change from other places I’ve been) they make suggestions and are genuinely please to talk about their curated products.
Another thing I love about this place, they can look up your past purchases to help you remember something you particularly enjoyed but can’t remember the name of.

They often have what I’d call a featured item(s) and host some really fun tastings events.

Ashley was wonderful and provided great guidance. On my last visit, Justin helped to pick out the perfect gift and Eric had great suggestions for a brunch cocktail. Outstanding service as always.

Got some expert advice while shopping for a spirit to gift! I know I'll show up with the most unique gift and my friend is going to love it! I can always count on the knowledgeable staff to make the shopping experience fun while pointing out amazing wines and spirits to try!
