Toy Place Downtown

The Toy Place is Huntsville’s only 100% local toy store and the level of customer service is unparalleled. Susan came in on a Sunday (the store was closed!) to help get Valentine’s Day bags ready for the kid’s in my son’s class. And she thought it would be great if a couple items from other stores were in the bags too, so she picked those up as well, just because! You can reach out to her and she will do whatever she can to help even as your personal shopper. She will even wrap the gifts beautifully to boot. Curbside pick up? No problem, she’s amazing! Plus she’s a fabulous person and, if you’re lucky enough, even a friend.

I so 💓this little store!!! It is a MUST-GO for those with little ones. Susan has stocked her place with toys, games, and activities that you will not find in the Big Box Stores. Even better, she will help you shop, to be sure you have THE BEST item, to fit your wants/needs. It doesn't have to be "gift time" - go look for yourself! I promise you will not be disappointed :)

Such a great place! An actual toy store is so much more special than going to Walmart or Target. They have a very wonderfully curated selection here. The owner's mom was working the day we went in and she was the nicest lady ever.

This is our favorite place to shop for toys! The owner is friendly and funny and incredibly helpful! Tell her what age you’re shopping for and she has the best suggestions. They offer gift wrapping for free!
This is a very special place and we have made a tradition of having our kids shop for each other’s Christmas and birthday gifts here.

Sailing the sometimes choppy seas of What To Give a Child of a Certain Age, Toy Place has one very significant advantage over Amazon, etc. Toy Place has an owner (manager?) who is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I absolutely love the small scale of this store: it reminds me of the toy store in my grandfather's hometown. There was no need then to obsess over a gazillion options and, I firmly believe, there is no need to do so now, either. Relax, let someone point you to a few good choices, make your decision, and be on your way. That's a great gift.

Susan is so awesome! This is a great local gem. Shopping small doesn't mean limited selection at The Toy Place! From babies to big kids they have some really cool and unique stuff as well as brands you love like Melissa and Doug!

Loved every minute in this store. The toys are fun for all ages and unique. Susan the owner made shopping easy and truly enjoyed talking with her. My children love everything she picked out ! We can’t wait to go back.

MS. Susan is THE BEST!!! She's always ready to help with ideas. She's got a great selection and the store just has an awesome old school vibe to it. She loves her community and her community loves her. Don't forget to ask about the special socks!!!

Friendly and knowledgeable owner takes time to listen and help find (and wrap) that fit each child. She carries fun and interesting g toys, games, puzzles and books. Locally owned and happy place tucked away in the historic Five Points area of town.

A neighborhood store with the latest toys. Met Susan and her mother today. They were friendly and helpful. A wide selection to choose from. This store brought me back to my childhood. Can't wait to return!

The lady who owns the place was very friendly and gave great suggestions while shopping for a friend's childs birthday. And she even wrapped them for free with good wrapping paper!
