Blue Plate Cafe

My family and I love blue plate! Our favorites are the orange muffins and the cheesy hash browns. Their roast and meatloaf is good as well! The customer service is good and the restaurant has a cozy feel to it.

I was in Huntsville visiting. Looked up a good breakfast in The city. It did not disappoint. It was so good. I loved the chocolate biscuit. It was so good. It is a must for breakfast if you are in Huntsville

A true landmark in Huntsville! Just the basics done very well. The food is amazing, served in a timely manner and the staff are exceptionally friendly!!! Prices are surprisingly low. What more could you want? The only difficulty is parking... that's just expected when everyone wants to go there! Go ahead, add to the crowd, you won't be disappointed!

The food was fantastic! It was just almost like my mommas. Our waitress was super and had a kind smile. We made a great choice for lunch today. Also, we had enough leftovers for dinner.

We've made many family memories over the years at this diner! It's a nostalgic place with quality food and service! We enjoy most of the daily specials and especially enjoy the homemade pies!

Great place for home cooking. They have a great breakfast menu. The omelet was cooked to perfection. Heavy on the cheese which I scraped off what I didn’t want. The hash browns were perfect, too. I cannot wait to return. Service was impeccable, which is very hard to come by these days.

Feel at home in this quaint old fashioned cafe. This day I ordered blueberry pancakes. I don't think I ate half of it before I was so full. I like sitting at the counter and watching the Man call out the orders to the servers for pick up. Chicken and Dumplings are good here too.

I happened to find this little gem while staying here in Huntsville for work. I have to come back next week too and I will be back! I was talking to the staff and they have been open for 21 years. It shows. They care about the food they serve. The food is all home made. I had the beans and greens sou. Just delicious! I also had the Cobb salad with the fat free italian dressing. Allso delicious and a large serving! Service was spot on. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if i could!Coming in from Jersey, they made me feel right at home! I also took some fried catfish back to my hotel. So good! This would be my go to eatery if I lived here...

Blue plate Café is always amazing. One of the best meat and threes in town their meat entrée changes by the day, as well as some of the vegetable selections, so look up what their offerings are on your specific day. I usually get a vegetable plate with three or four vegetables, and it’s always amazing and fresh. I am told their chicken fried steak is the best in town. Service is always good, but not cloying, and even with a crowd they do a fantastic job. I’ve done dine in and takeout and both are great. It’s just good, solid, southern cooking. Their burgers are even good if you weren’t a vegetarian.

The servers are knowledgeable if you have allergies, and one time, they were perfectly willing to go back and ask with no bad attitude.

Warning: they do have a small parking lot and when it’s crowded, especially at lunch, it can be hard to find a space.

Let's just be honest here, if you haven't gone here...why are you waiting for?! Lol We are from out of town and working down the street. We decided to stop in here after driving by a few times and thought, "why didn't we come here sooner?" The food is super good and very well priced for the amount you receive. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Don't let the full parking lot fool you. As long as you can find a space you'll be seated quickly and eating fast! The French toast was delicious. Biscuit and gravy wasn't great. Everything else was satisfactory.

I'm so glad we came to the Blue Plate Cafe for supper. Before we left PA I checked other Google reviews and this diner did not disappoint. Three good sized meals, coffee and soda all for $37.00; good down home cooking. If we ever come back to Huntsville, we will come back here!

Our server was amazing 👏 😍 I for sure will be coming back to this place. I got the 3 cheese omelet with everything but mushrooms 🍄 and it was amazing 👏 thanks Blue Plate Cafe, for being the only breakfast please beside waffle house gross.

I had the vegetable plate, and my friend had the meat and three. The food was hot and delicious as always! They have wonderful sweet tea.

A real Huntsville institution. Comfort food at comfort prices! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, we've never had a bad meal here. The staff is always friendly and the food is like home!

A wonderful place for a nice lunch. Our server was very friendly and kept out ice tea glasses full. A nice place with nice people.

We stopped by because it was close to the hotel. It was really busy and there was a wait. I took that as a sign of good food. The prices are hard to beat. The French toast is good and not overly sweet. You can customize your omelette. Mine was delicious! I would go back next time I pass through.

We come here to eat at least twice a month. Usually for lunch. The food is always very good. If you're looking for that homemade goodness, this is the place. Highly recommended.

Great food and friendly staff. The Big Cheese was wonderful and the peanut butter pie was the best I have ever had! Catfish plate was a lot of food for the price and dessert was included. Open face roast beef was great. Try this place. We will go back.
