Food Lion

This Food Lion in Chapel Hill has great customer service. Money orders are only 40 cents. Yes, you read it right, 40 cents. The store is very clean, including the men's restrooms . Every time I went to this food, Lion, the customer service was always 👌 . No matter whether it was a truck day or not, they are always ready to help you find what you need!!

It's humongous, wide selection. Wish I had more money to get a better selection of the items they have

I’ve only been at the store two times as of today, both times in customer service what usually is chaotic. But that’s how it is at all the stores. But….
This is a compliment for the front manager, Matt Presley. If there was a 10+ star rating, he deserves it. I enter the store and talk to two people before him. One shrugged and told me where to go, and the other one at customer service was busy figuring out the computer, who wasn’t able to recognize that I was there…. The store wasn’t even crowded at the time.
But…
And then along came Matt Presley. I didn’t know he was a manager at first, but….
He put me first. And I was there for a awhile because of Western Union and also buying another product . He didn’t interrupt me for anything with another person. He totally treated me as one on one. Matt was very attentive to my needs. Explain how the WesternUnion worked and wasn’t rushed in anyway, even though the phone rang, and people were behind me. he put them on hold and continue to put me first until the very end. An employee, like this should be recognized for being a one on one person. And I will continue to visit this Food Lion when I’m in Chapel Hill.
Please 🙏 acknowledge this employee and give him the respect that’s required to keep him at the store. If it’s possible, give him a raise or incentives to stay. I do not want to lose this employee. Thank you.

Big thank you to Store manager Ray and his staff!! After many calls to cooperate and stores in the area finally we were able to get some help!!

This is the 5th Food Lion I've worked at and my favorite one yet. Yes, it's a busy store with no self checkouts, but we strive to give the best service possible and I'm in the process of recruiting the best cashiers. As the front end manager, any of my office staff or myself will be available to help or address your concerns. I'm an hourly worker just like them and I'm all for the service. Give us a call!

The crab legs that I got from this location were excellent everything always first good customer service I would highly recommend this location for your seafood need they always have everything fresh is never away and it's always someone there to help you so check them out for yourself and see you won't be disappointed this is a great location

Absolutely love this Food Lion!!! It’s always spotless clean and unusual organized. I know how to find everything I need at ease. The cashiers are friendly and funny. Their customer service makes you feel all good and warm inside. :D

Food Lion has really improved in the last few years - for the better! Produce section is decent, bakery is great, nice organic choices, and better trained staff. I think the Food Lion revamp has been very successful.

Great prices and selection. I wish they had a few more dairy-free options in the refrigerated section but I still found most things I needed. The produce all looked fresh and were very reasonably priced. I'm not from around here so I didn't have a loyalty card (which is free) set up, the cashier entered a store code for me and saved me $30! I am very happy with my visit today.

Love my local food lion and especially like how carefully my vegetables were handled and bagged. It makes no difference to buy food on sale or full price if its bruised when you get it home. Thank you.

Nice store, plus they have mountains of bottled water today, right before hurricane Florence. They must have gotten a while truck full of Deer Park water bottles. Go get it while the getting is good!

A place I can go and get in and out quickly, with get what I need. Aisles are always clean as well as the store

I never have any issues when I shop at this location. Shelves are stocked, produce is fresh, and the staff is friendly. No complaints!

Food lion is great for good prices on all their products. I love food lion because they have corn meal which I use to make an African food called Ugali.

I feel like I always get good deals at foodlion the service is great and no long waiting in line store is always clean and i have yet to go there and they were out of something I lived in Wilmington NC then moved to Savannah and my experience was the same now I live in Durham and like everywhere else Foodlion is my shopping spot

Nice store, also I found a ton of your carts over at the park at chapel hill apartments. I guess people just don’t want to return them, lazy I guess lol

Lots of free parking, great fresh food variety, and their brand products have very good food prices. Also convenient to the ABC store (Next door).
