Pogo's Wine & Spirits

From the every-day to special occasion, Pogo's is my go-to spirits shop for everything. Their best kept secret is they offer concierge services which has changed my life! We were paired with a wine expert at the store and spent an hour or so walking around one Saturday afternoon sharing what we typically like, and then he built a couple of cases of wine for us to take home. Now I email him when we start to run low, provide any feedback on what we did or didn't love, and he pulls new wines for our stock and we stop in to pick up (they deliver though, too!)! It has helped us not only try new stuff but to also never drink a lame bottle of wine, no matter the day of the week.

They're also the best at helping you find great gifts. I can pop in and say "this person likes rum for sipping, they usually drink Zacapa..." and one of their experts will know exactly what to get to make for a fun and thoughtful present. They even gift wrap, too!

I worked in and collected wines for over 20 years and this is easily one of the best shops I've seen. Incredible Burgundy selection that really stands out, as do their bubbles, but every category hits that perfect balance of classic and new. The natural wine knowledge matches the selection, both rare separately in stores of this size but having them together makes this a destination.

Always helpful and very knowledgeable. They always have something new and rare. If they don’t have what you are looking for they will recommend something awesome to try. Nice selection of cheese and snacks to accompany.

Our Derby party just wouldn't have been the same without the help of a sweet young lady and her expert advice. We'll be back.

This is a very fine shop. I don't drink wine, but I do like beer and sometimes spirits. Pogo's has a great selection of all of these, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The cigar selection is also high class! Thank you, Pogo's!

Best specialty beer and wine selections in Dallas. Amazing array of craft brews. Try the Jade Scorpion by Young Master Brewing, Hong Kong. Pilsner brewed with green peppercorns (IBU:22, 11.2oz, 5.1% ABV)

The staff is great! Audrey is a sweetheart! They always give a warm greeting. (Maybe because I'm there so much lol. Prices aren't the best but the service makes up for it plus it's only 2 minutes from my house so I never miss the 9pm cutoff.

Top notch service. I was looking for a certain wine. The first 2 places I called didn't have it. Pogo's was the third place I called and the ONLY place that offered to order it for me. From now on, I'll call them first.

I stopped in to find some local beers while on a trip in town and the service was excellent (not that I expected any from a liquor store!). I can't remember any names, but the guy who helped me pick my beers was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The cashier was very friendly, too. If I was local, this would definitely be my go-to spot.

Great liquor store for unique finds on wine and liquor. It's a little pricey sometimes, but you will not find a more knowledgeable staff or as diverse a selection in DFW. They also will make orders for you if there is a spirit or wine you want, if they can get so can you!

Selection is very extensive, with a broad inventory of many boutique and hard to find wines. Friendly and attentive service. Pricing is not the least expensive, but given the selection, is quite fair. It’s a pleasure to shop here!

I have ordered from Pogo's for a number of years for my boss on a personal level, as well as for countless corporate events (dinners, parties, etc.) I am always impressed by the terrific customer service I receive from the employees here. They don't just want to sell you a great bottle of wine or liquor--they really want you to enjoy the experience. They're so knowledgeable! They have a massive selection and are always respectful of my budget (runs the gamut depending on the circumstances), which I really appreciate--especially on the business side. Even yesterday, I had to pick up an order of six bottles and I had my daughter with me. One of the employees didn't hesitate to carry the box out to the car for me so I didn't have a hassle. They will always be my go-to place in Dallas for the best wines.

Impressive selection. Knowledgeable staff. If you need a treat for yourself then look no further. Also a great place for getting a memorable dinner party bottle as well. Support one of the longest running and last standing independently owned fine wine stores in Dallas. This business understands quality and customer service. You cannot go wrong here.

I’m always so impressed with the selection at Pogo’s. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful- but not overbearing. Although they have some ~very~ high end items, they really listen to how much you want to spend, and I never feel scrutinized when my budget isn’t high. From liquor, to wine, to beer and everything in between, chances are, they carry it. I am willing to spend a little more money here because of the quality, ambience, helpful staff, and incredible selection.

Incredible wealth of knowledge with the staff. JD Arredondo can pair a wine with just about anything and you will be impressed. If they don’t have what you are looking for, it’s probably not worth drinking or they will track it down for you.

this place rules. Best selection of beer in the area by far. Only Craft Beer Cellar can compete but thats all the way in lakewood.
