Brown & Haley Factory Store

Cute little store that somewhat mimics the shape of the Tacoma Dome nearby. Discovered it by happenstance while parking. We almost missed it because it's adjacent to a rather unassuming factory building like many others, but then lo and behold the oversize revolving Almond Roca tin. Spoiler: large tin facsimile probably contains no actual candy. For that you'll need enter the store: walk up the ramp and be buzzed in. Once inside, you will be warmly greeted and introduced to the specials of the day in this quaint candy store. Many offerings are 30-50% off, and assorted bags of "seconds" are available for a buck a pop. Psst, help yourself to a free sample at the front counter!

This is one of a kind. When I was younger my grandmother used to come and get boxes of mistakes for like 5 dollars. They don't have that anymore but the deals are still good enough that you can stuff your face with all kinds of sweet treats. I also would like to give a special shout out to the elderly woman who walked us around the store and the dapper gentlemen who rang us up, we had matching red flannels so that was cool!

This cute little store is filled with all kinds of almond roca goodness. Located in Tacoma, WA. There is a parking lot with a few spaces. If you love almond roca you need to come here. The factory is just right next door. Can you believe Elvis Presley once visited this store? Totally amazed!

There were two sweet ladies working in the store. They were very nice. The store sells other items like sweatshirts, t-shirts, magnets, stickers, post cards, pens and more. It’s really nice to step foot in a place that has been around for years. Also nice to know that a part of history still lives there. The original Almond Roca Factory and gift shop!

Great place to pick up some great candy. If you love Almond Roca, you can get factory seconds in zip bags for a steal! Same delicious taste for a low price. They also have souvenir tins, salt water taffy and other treats. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely adore this local landmark. You are always greeted with kindness, warmth and a smile. I love the $1-$3, 8 ounce bags of factory seconds. It's the same delicious candy you're used to, usually just without a wrapper which is fine by me because I can get the deliciousness in my mouth faster. They have handicapped parking. I felt safe getting in and out of my car here despite the surrounding "activity".

It is just what I remember from my childhood. Great little candy shop with great prices on factory seconds as well as a good selection of their regular products.

So glad I could take my mom there. many selections due to holiday season. the set package is cute! you think whats so special go there n buy? they offer not only traditional almond roca but cashew, macadamia, dark, carmel,seasalt. the workers r friendly nice.
there is structured free parking but also there is enough street parking, too.

Love Almond Roca? Why not get it from the source? This small shop outside of the factory has all the varieties available . I shipped 6 different tins to my Canadian friend, and now she's addicted. Will need to stop by here again soon .

This is so much fun and brings back lots of nostalgia. I recommend going here and purchasing Almond Rocha and Mountain Bars. I moved to NC and I always bring back this DELICIOUS candy 😋

The best way to get delicious Almond Roca! The staff were great and there were several different varieties that we didn't know were even made. Well worth stopping by!

Great candy made in pierce county. Even better prices if you’re ok with the bags of imperfect ones. They have the regular ones too.

It's a tiny morsel of a store. It's full of goodies and its yummies are priced pretty reasonable for what you get. They're called "seconds" (or what I call them is oops roca) and instead of paying 10.00 for the small can you get a bag of roca for 1.99.
The man working there is super friendly. Found out that the tours are no longer available, due to spacing issues and the amount of people vs equipment wouldn't work. That's a bummer to hear but it's understandable and they also blamed the whole COVID thing.

If you are looking for a quick stop to get your roca, and yes they have more than just the oops roca on supply, this is a good time. I'm partial to the store in Fife right off the freeway, it's a lot bigger, but for the time I had to go, this is a good time. Really close to the Amtrak station too.

This is the only Brown and Haley outlet store that I know of. Located right next to the candy factory 🏭. It may be small but it is loaded with great deals. Miswrapped roca at a discount. Many factory direct products. Different items during different times of the year. A nice hidden gem of the great Northwest.

Oh My, So Exciting to have Brown & Haley Almond Roca Factory in Tacoma, Washington. Parking is limited so suggest you go before 'Holiday Rush'. The staff is knowledgable & friendly. I bought Almond Roca crumbs for baking with 3 month shelf life. It is good in "Apple Crisp". T-shirts & souveniers are available too.

I love Almond Roca and so proud that it is made right here in downtown Tacoma! The best thing about the factory store is getting the discount candy that may not be as pretty.

I went to the factory store to purchase seconds getting the Extra Dark Chocolate ROCA. Other varieties available and a deal if you don't care if the candy is wrapped. I love their Mountain Bars so one of those always ends up in my bag! For the holiday season they have gift packs and the famous pink tins of Almond ROCA. Also another favorite is Brown & Haley's Peppermint Bark... delicious!
