Fareway Meat and Grocery

My family and I enjoy going to this Iowa local and community based grocery store. They continue to embrace their mission statement and it keeps us coming back. We enjoy the price point, quality of food, variety, and full customer care.

Love Fareway for the meat specials ! They have the best ground beef and chicken. It's closed on Sundays so their workers can attend church and be with their family. Always polite and friendly.

Great produce very friendly employees , great meat counter . Always shop here , plenty of parking , plenty of handicap parking. Great service .

I love to grocery shop in a Fareway grocery store! I can get in and out much more quickly, parking is closer to the store. True, Fareway carries a smaller selection, but always has what I need. The prices are competitive. And the main attraction the meat department individually takes care of me, as a special customer! Helping me select and complete my order just the way I want. Even when I'm visiting my daughter at a store 4 hours away from home my experience is the same. A loyal Fareway customer for nearly 50 years, trying to pass on the tradition!

I've been shopping here off and on for the past few years, alternating with other places, but as other places have become less consumer friendly, I have moved more to shopping at this Fareway. This store definitely has the best customer service, hands down, compared to their competitors. While they may not have the best prices, their service more than makes up for the higher cost.

This is a very good store. Well run and good shopping experience. Prices are generally always lower than most grocery store and great customer service. They always ask if you found what you needed at checkout and walk you out to load your vehicle. That's huge for me as I never have to worry about taking the cart back. This store is well run and it's because of the people who work there.

The store is very clean. The staff are polite and respectful. Love shopping here. It is LITERALLY, the only place in town I go to for a steak! They totally set the standard here for great service! The only issue I have, is that their tomatoes are always over ripe. I'm super picky about tomatoes, so most people won't even care. This place is great!!!!

Very good customer service. Everyone is always friendly, helpful and polite. They even carry your groceries out for you and put them in your vehicle then take the cart back.Their produce is second to none. Their butcher department with deli food is always fresh and delicious. The shelves are always well stocked.

I went to my Indian Hills Fareway and haven’t seen a lot of NA beer on the shelves. Instead of being told there isn’t anything they can do, I was able to speak to someone quickly about ordering some. I got a call today from that same lady letting me know that they were in. I sincerely appreciate her doing that for me. It’s the small gestures like she did that will always bring me to my fareway. The great customer service. Thank you, Indian Hills Fareway!

Being a handicapped person, I always appreciate the patience that is shown, and courteous help that is offered if I need it.......I love having my groceries taken to my car and loaded, it is a real struggle at some stores!! I have shopped at Fareway stores in Cherokee, LeMars, and Sioux City for close to 47 years, and no other store can compare with prices, quality, selection, and friendly staff. They are the best!

Staff is always super friendly. The meat market has a great selection and the store is always clean.

The new self checkouts are nice and of course the staff are always pleasant. Faraway ways has what I need! They have a good selection of basic gluten free foods and there freezer has increased also.

Love this store!! They have a great meat counter, a good section of grocerie, and a decent selection of beer and wine. Plus, they are closed on Sundays so the employees can enjoy the day with their families. No, it isn't Hy-Vee or Walmart, but it's not supposed to be. It's a great neighborhood grocery store with carry-out service. No other Sioux City grocery store offers that!!

Best grocery stores in Sioux City. May not have as large of a selection as Hy Vee when it comes to making some ethnic foods, but Fareway has all the basics you would need for any Ethnic food needs. The meat counter is always awesome, you won't find any better. From the cuts of meat to the meat counter staff, just fantastic. One of the few stores left that does not make their employees work on Sunday, I say that's a good thing.

Loved the prices, person in meat department was very helpful and curtious, cashier was very friendly and pleasant! Would go there again and again, also the bag boy was funny and very helpful!
