Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

The waiter was "Johnnie-on-the-spot". We waited on nothing. 3 of us had the 3 meat combo. The rib tips were tough compared to the other meats we had, but not too tough to complain about. The corn bread was almost the best we have ever had.
They have bread pudding. I try bread pudding every time I see it on the menu. To compare it to my own. I have to admit that this is the first time I have ever had bread pudding that comes close to mine. It is better than some of my attempts but not all.
If you are ever in Sioux City Iowa, I highly recommend you pay them a visit.

Had the Ribeye, which had a decent cut, and was cooked to my request of rare pretty accurately. Servers were friendly, and the music was a great selection of blues music.
I didn't get a beer this time, but there were several good selections, even many local to Iowa/Nebraska beers.

We came late at night before close and were treated very well. We had been traveling all day and they didn't make us feel unwelcome at all. The food tasted amazing as well. It was rib-tip-tacular!!

The BBQ was delicious with five sauces brought to the table to try. Our waitress asked if it was our first time there..me yes, my son, his second. I got to choose a bottle of my favorite sauce! Not only a feast for your stomach, but a feast for the eyes as well!

If you want good authentic BBQ then Famous Dave's is the place to be!! Everything was soo super delicious and the staff were so nice. We will be back next weekend.

The best food at a crazy great price. We had a 50 meal takeout for two and we ended up eating it over 4 meals over 2 days. Great portions. Great taste. Great food!

Well Mr Dave, I see why you’re Famous. We know good bbq, and this is it. Loved every meal our family ordered. Wife had the loaded bake potatoes, I had the brisket and my son had the ribs. Even the Mac and cheese tastes good.

Update: The music is back! Back to five stars for an atmosphere that really brings the experience of eating here to life.

Still a great location, never been disappointed for the most part with the food or service. Catfish fingers and the remoulade sauce are a personal favorite. The Pineapple steaks can sometimes be hit or miss depending on how ripe the pineapple is, but worth the gamble to try. Salmon is done well also. The only real compliant is still the change to the music. It used to match the flavor of the theme, rich with blues music you wouldn't normally seek out, but enjoyed discovering new music thanks to. Now it's you're generic top 40 with an occasional blues song put in. Bring back the old playlist and the place easily gets a five star.

We had lunch passing through Sioux City and stopped in for a quick bite. The service was great, and the food is always good.

Not the best BBQ in the world but it's still excellent. Good food, good service. Its a great place for groups if you give them a heads up.

My husband and I are there for Valentines Day, the food was not good, we usually like the food. The ribs were dry, the sauce on the wings was spicier then we ordered.

Always a great stop. You like BBQ? Do you like finding those unique mom and pop places that you must have on your return list? Well, Famous Dave’s is about the only commercial BBQ place that feels like that, only they are a franchise. Not feeling like a rack of ribs? Well, their burgers are great too. Nice assortment of sauces to pick from as well, from sweet to spicy.

Well with any restaurant, everything depends on how you feel going in, wether you can be fair with your assessment of services rendered. Having said that, we went in with high expectations and they were met. Our server was megan, who was also working the bar. She took our order quickly, we never waited on a refill on our drinks, besides being very attentive, she answered any questions we had about the menu. She made our experience very pleasant .
Now the food. It was great. We both had 3 meat plates, we both got totally different meats on our plates. The brisket was absolutely delicious and the burnt ends. The hot sausage was not what I was expecting and didn't care for it much, but everything else was good.
My wife and I highly recommend famous Dave's bbq . Hope your experience is as good or better than ours, but for us we will be back and happy about it.

always great food! Corn bread muffins are sublime and the brisket is top notch. They catered my wedding several years ago and are still amazing!
