Walgreens

My favorite Walgreens. Clean, well stocked and friendly staff but what makes this location special is the building itself. Originally it was one of the earliest Publix Supermarkets. Opened in 1954, the art deco exterior has been very well preserved. After Publix moved to larger quarters in the 1970s it was used as the Green Stamp redemption center. Fortunately when Walgreens moved in they preserved the exterior. With all the changes St.Petersburg is experiencing it is a real treat to find this little architectural gem.

Walgreens associate Marjorie was very helpful. She went over and above to help me find the product I was looking for.

I drive past 3 other Walgreens to come to this one. The pharmacy is slammed all the time, but they still try to work with you to get you something sooner where they can. Joe is amazing and has wonderful customer service, often juggling the drive-through window a register and the phone. He goes above and beyond to help and is very knowledgeable about coupons and what will work with your insurance and what won’t and even tries generic versus name brand. He’s very patient and has saved me money multiple times.

The store overall is the most stocked Walgreens I’ve seen and the inside is typically very clean and neat. I don’t often find things stuffed on shelves that don’t belong there so these employees are keeping up with the rush of people they have come through each day.

Busy pharmacy - but staff is willing to help. Likely understaffed as well. Can’t imagine what it’s been like having to immunize the entire country for COVID on top of their everyday prescription volume, Flu shot “goals”, general immunization goals and MTM goals. They deserve more respect. I hate seeing patrons treat the staff like it’s a “fast food” establishment and no specific care or doctoral- level skill is associated in the dispensing process. Additionally, a huge weight is on the pharmacy technicians - who are way underpaid. They are the beating heart of the pharmacy. I wholly respect you all. Thank your for your hard work

IHOP Walgreens three times a week that's how much I love it

Used this pharmacy to fill my dogs antibiotic script. The pharmacist was super nice and filled her meds fast. She even stuck a dog treat in the bag for my pup! Very impressed!
