I've been using this pharmacy for a few years. Admittedly they get busy, but that's true of Walgreens in Bay Village also. I think that they have improved a lot over the last year. The staff has been friendly and helpful. Additionally , I categorically choose CVS over Walgreens because CVS does NOT sell cigarettes. Walgreens' hypocrisy (selling health and wellness along with cigarettes) is too much for me.

Pharmacy staff is kind, quick, and competent. I have had a lot of dosage changes lately and they have worked with my doctor to ensure I received my medication with no gaps!

Although I’ve experienced similar issues as others with poor reviews, they have been relativity minor. In general, the professionalism and courtesy (at the pharmacy especially) have been 5 star. The exterior of the building could use a little attention though… not up to Bay standards.

Good selection and options for a small-ish drug store. Much better option than Walgreens in my opinion for the non-prescription needs. Pretty friendly and efficient operations. Clean and tidy.

Compared to the Walgreens in Bay Village the CVS in Bay Village is either megh or great. My main point for liking the CVS is that they are not as strict about refill dates. When I was at Walgreens they refused to refill certain prescriptions on day of because "the Insurance won't cover it" then I'd ask "well what if I pay cash and bypass the Insurance" and they'd say "well... we won't do that". Some of these prescriptions if not filled would mean I'd have to go to the Emergency Room to just get a Refill for a few days. CVS on the other hand lets you Refill early and must be interpreting the same Insurance rules but aren't mean about it and let you refill early.

The only reason I give CVS 4 instead of 5 stars is their in person service isn't the best. The staff seems like they are beyond busy at all times and giving customer service in person is seemingly very low on what they care about. BUT!!! CVS gets a 6 out of 5 when it comes to their Drive-thru service. The fact that they have a Drive-Thru service is amazing and the customer service is equally amazing! For some strange reason, if I get the same service but in the Drive-thru I feel like I'm treated like a king/queen!

I do heavily recommend CVS in Bay over the Walgreens in Bay and way way more then the Drug Mart in Westlake (I'm pretty sure the staff at Drug Mart are trained by Prison Guards (this is a joke but who knows)).

Anywho, I heavily recommend the CVS in Bay Village as they manage prescriptions way better then their competitors and if you use the Drive-thru you will be treated like a King/Queen.

While the CVS store is fine (hence the two stars), the pharmacy is another story. I’ve constantly had issues with my doctor and my son’s doctor filling prescriptions there that they claim are never in their system. Since it’s happened with different doctors I tend to think the issue is the pharmacy, not the doctors. What’s worse, is the pharmacist and pharmacy staff immediately get snippy when the prescription order isn’t there. They snap at me that I need to call my doctors office back and get the order filled again. And sometimes this happens multiple times. The one time I brought this up to the pharmacist (the fact prescriptions require multiple back and forth phone calls to get filled) and he started get hostile with me. At 35 weeks pregnant and vomiting, I just hung up. They are completely unprofessional and uncaring.

Today I used Walgreens in Bay Village for the first time and I was floored that the pharmacist actually had compassion for my son who had an order of zofran for vomiting. I don’t think ANYONE at the CVS pharmacy has shown and ounce of compassion for customers. I will be using Walgreens in Bay Village going forward. I do wish they had the drive thru, but I’ll take the time to walk in the store if it means I won’t get yelled at for needing a prescription.

Pharmacy is not clean. Customers made to wait on phone and in person while staff work on tasks other than filling prescriptions. Customer’s presence not acknowledged.

If i could give this location 0 stars I would. So unprofessional. The pharmacy staff are very unhelpful, no communication on medications coming or going. I had my medication be out of stock which would have been fine except instead of picking up the phone and conveying this information to me, they just said "not my problem, guess youre out of luck" after I had to go all the way down there because they couldnt pick up the phone when I called when it is medications that is necessary to survived. Not my fault you hate your job?

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a pharmacy. My husband was released from the hospital this afternoon and was to pick up a prescription. We were told the medication was waiting for approval. Not one person helped us to understand what approval they were waiting on. The pharmacist never looked up from his screen. They should be ashamed.

It was a worst experience for me with the pharmacy stuff. They give me a BP monitor with other medications that cost all 49$. When I went back home I found the monitor cost me 35$. So I went back directly to return it back and they never except it or returned it. So now I lost 35$ for a machine that I don’t need or want. And they put everything together in one big bag and never told me the cost was because the monitor. I wish there is 0 star to give it to them.

The pharmacy said it is “illegal” for them to transfer Paxlovid from one pharmacy to theirs. I had it transferred to a different CVS with no problem and when I called to tell them their mistake, the pharmacist was condescending and rude and kept speaking over me. I just wanted to let him know that it is not illegal so they might want to stop telling people that, but he kept saying things like, “illegal, legal I don’t know but we can’t do it. Maybe the law changed, I don’t know.” Real helpful.
