Love them - great customer service, great prices, quick shipping! Keep your eyes on their pre-owned selection, you never know what hard to find piece will show up to add to your railroad.

I ordered a scale Car for an old friend in another state. Unbeknownst to me he had moved. The car I ordered was returned to Only Trains and they contacted me to see what I wished to do; Refund or Reship. During this peak holiday season most companies would have not taken the time to contact me. I appreciate this and will consider Only Trains for more orders in the future.

Great people, good prices, inventory unbelievable.
I call in an order on Friday over a holiday weekend and ordered a left hand switch. I needed right hand. Realized my mistake on Saturday and called in to have the switched changed to a right hand. Before I got up on Tuesday (I live in CA) they had made the change and sent the correct on it way to me. When I got up on Tuesday to call to make sure they had got my call. I checked my E mails and text message to see if there was a reply there before. Sure enough there was reply on both and a message that the switch had been shipped.
From this point on all of my orders will be going their way.

I have been buying things for years. Service and shipping have been wonderful and they have the best prices when you include the cost of shipping. They have been able to get parts for some of my older LGB items. There online manuals have been an invaluable resource

Great place. Fairly new to g scale and this place has a really great selection of high quality items at good prices. I've done all my business online and they have a great website and cheap shipping for everything I have ordered. If you're new to g scale (first, welcome it's a blast!) you'll learn there's not a huge marketplace for this stuff so if you're doing a project and need to know more about a product or shipping time for an order, I recommend you call or email first so you can plan it out. They are always very responsive and helpful. Try them out, you'll be glad you did!

Love these folks! Very quick on shipping, as well as email responses! They often have slightly “used” (previously owned) stock which saves me a few coins.... who doesn’t like that?!??!!! Very happy with the inventory, pricing and customer service of Only Trains. I purchased a wide variety of items and all were shipped promptly, arrived well packed with great communication as to order status. I highly recommend.

I’ve been using this outfit for a few years now as a source for parts and electronics to service or upgrade my models. Every time I’ve had an amazing transaction, and even if there were a problem, staff was more than willing to help and make it right. I highly recommend this supplier for anyone looking to maintain their large scale trains.

Only Trains has a pleasantly arranged website with extensive offerings. Many items listed for sale are noted as "Currently out of stock". I have waited up to 11 months for such back-ordered items to ship. However, they don't charge your credit card for an item until they ship it, and they send monthly emails reminding you of specific items that are still on back-order. Two things they could improve: On a buyer's order history, show which items have shipped and which are back-ordered. And on the email stating that back-ordered items have been shipped, it would be helpful to say which items were shipped. (I have edited this review and changed my rating after receiving their nice response pointing out an error in my original review.)

The perfect place to buy what you need for your trains! Great pricing! Fantastic selection! Fast shipping! The web site has an awesome FAQ section that has answered more than one of my questions.
To top it off, when you call, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Only Trains is a great web-based store to shop for G-Scale items. Their inventory is vast, but specific pieces are easy to find - at very competitive pricing! But, IMHO, it's their people who really make the difference; i.e., they work very hard to make sure their customers are happy with any/all purchases they make. I applaud (and thank them for) their commitment to this process.

Probably some of the finest customer service I have ever received on the internet! They had in stock a rather obscure item at a very reasonable price (some other vendors are charging truly "rip-off" prices) and sent them out to me the very same day! The items arrived in perfect condition and I could not be more pleased, all around, with this transaction.
