Carl's Pharmacy

The closest thing to shopping on a budget in Aspen. I was thrilled with the breadth and variety of their selection, especially upstairs.
They have really nice Aspen souvenirs for quite cheap prices, relatively speaking (there are really nice collectible mugs for $9).
They have a variety of camping gear upstairs (the cheap but quality brands), as well as toys, puzzles, games, electronics stuff, and more.
You probably won't leave empty-handed from this place because you'll find something you didn't remember that you needed at a good price.

Carls is a 2 story building & they have many things you would not realize, given the size of the retail area. Well staffed and friendly faces, they also have a small well stocked liquor store inside.

Carl’s is more than just a pharmacy… it’s many little stores compacted into one, with a perfume store, a makeup/beauty store, a liquor store, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and much more, each with their own little sections. Reasonably priced items vs most of Aspen, friendly and helpful staff.

An incredible independent pharmacy. Definitely an Aspen landmark. They have everything you might need from health essentials (including natural, homeopathic and organic choices) & baby supplies to Mason Pearson brushes, Jack Black lip balm, Pokémon cards, toys, books, sewing supplies, local jewelry etc.

A pharmacy like they used to make ‘em. Amazing selection, nice people.

All the things you need are here. The specialized, unique and practical stuff you need for life. Carl’s is a historic and recognized institution in Aspen - from the sign to the owners and the style.

The small store is packed with stuff everywhere on the first and second floor. People are friendly and helpful and the decor is local with small town personality.

I was pleased to see it hasn’t changed since it was a kid and ran there with my allowance to buy candy in the back (that part has been changed a little) and bought all of my school supplies upstairs.
Today, my last day here, I popped in for some Supergoop Unscreen and they were all out. Nooo! It’s my gift for my pet sitter at home in Canada where it’s not sold. The lovely lady in cosmetics said she could take my number and call me if it happens to come in. She phoned within about an hour and said that a colleague knew of some that hadn’t yet been unpacked, and said they’d find it for me. Drove back in from Snowmass, and they unpacked it for me. I consider this to be phenomenal customer service. So, so happy. Thanks Carl’s Pharmacy crew!
The gentleman on the main floor cash is also a delight. Long live Carl’s Pharmacy!!

Travel from out of town. Is the pharmacist on duty was super helpful

I absolutely love this store.. It has everything that a person could want with the best quality behind it!! I have purchased soveniers, bedding, bath, clothes, makeup, greeting cards, books, toys and many more things.. They have the best natural products for preventative health and cosmetic you can imagine.. Every employee there is sweet, professional and inthusiastic yet not pushy!! The store is very clean and well cared for!! Please, if you are visiting, vacationing or new to Aspen, take the time to check it out for yourself.. You will be a changed individual after shopping at, Carl’s!! Please be sure to write a review after doing so.. It is the least that we costumers can contribute to such a one of a kind store!! Helpful out of town Rx refill. A plus that they have everything one needs from food to hardware to pharmacy. Great place.

Great pharmacy, drug store, liquor store, souvenir shop, as well as a place to buy device cables, toys, games, sewing goods, and just about everything else you might need. An old fashioned one stop place to shop. What I enjoy most is the deep selection of over the counter drug store items. Many more choices than what you'll find at a big box drug store. Also all the sunscreens, lotions and cosmetic items you need in Aspen's sunny climate. Need a greeting card? Carl's is the go-to place in Aspen for greeting cards too.

Very friendly and caring staff. I had an incident where I had fainted and needed medical care. Many member of staff gathered to aid and provide the help I needed.

If you need any random items you forgot on your trip this is the place to go. Prices are reasonable, for Aspen, and they have everything from medications, toiletries to games/souvenirs. Helpful staff too.

Frequented Carl’s throughout our family vacation. They have whatever you’ve forgotten at home. In addition, the female associate at the pharmacy counter was exceptionally pleasant and helpful at every encounter - thank you.

Old time sundries meets hipster. 10 kinds of dental floss at the check out. Nice staff. Everything you need and lots else too.

I am a tourist having failed to pack face cream. Bought a face cream on clearance at Carl's Pharmacy which turned out to be defective. Carl's Pharmacy took the product back even though I did not have a receipt.
Will always shop there by every year I am here!

Was struggling with Altitude sickness, found everything I needed at Carl's. Amazing staff and so many fun and unique items.

Where else can you get toothpaste, a sandwich, and a model rocket?
An absolute gem- please never sell out.
