Aspen/Pitkin County Airport

I love this airport. It’s one of the best to fly out of because it’s so small. The parking lot is right next to the terminals. There is almost never a wait to get through security. The planes are smaller and regional so they create less noise pollution. The views when walking on to the plane and flying out of the airport are spectacular. You can also very easily coordinate a driver to pick you up from the airport. Baggage claims are easy to navigate. Very well organized location. That said, be sure to check your flight status in inclement weather, as many flights are either cancelled, rerouted, or delayed during periods of heavy snowfall. This is a very difficult airport for planes to fly in and out of.

There are many colourful flowers in summer and a monument of gondola outside the airport.
You can take a taxi as soon as get out the airport from the departure door and it was very convenient. Including gratuities we paid $60 to snowmass but turned out there are FREE public bus.On our way back home, the flight was delayed by storm and it seems that it's very easy to be affected by the weather as it's surrounded by mountains.

A super compact airport, yet hosts a surprisingly large amount of room inside. Security has precheck and normal lines, and there is a small snack/food court.
Flights are unloaded and boarded outside, and expect to plane side check any carry-on that won’t fit under your seat.

small and very tight during peak times of the year, so give yourself extra time before your flight. "Off-season", fall and spring, is a cake walk

Small airport but really easy to navigate. A few rental car options and one baggage claim.

I arrived 30 minutes prior to take-off and breezed right through security and onto the plane... obviously this airport doesnt need planes with a wingspan wider than 95 feet.

Very small airport- located 15 mins outside of Snowmass.

It’s really nice being able to sit out front in the sun before going through the short security line.

Eventhough they deal with some of the most extreme weather scenarios my hats off to all the land creo in this airport that always hace a good attitude and are helpful ..... here is someone deicing a plane

Nice small airport, but has all you need.

Small but great airport, I don’t know if the attention is good because you don’t need this I thing, the boarding is so simple and easy, and the arrival too.

Stuff is friendly and all move smoothly and fast.

This airport is small and friendly. Staff is alert, but not stressed to the point of impatience. Arrival and departure via vehicle is simple and straightforward. We use this airport a couple of times a year. It is a nice change from the mega hubs we arrive from.

Flights are always over booked but it is always a great time in Aspen! The airport is small but always full of interesting people.

Here's the deal with Aspen airport.
The airport itself does a wonderful job with what it has. I've always had pleasant experience with airport staff, TSA and United customer service here. Unfortunately, because of the valley it's situated in and being surrounded by mountains there's a lot of weather. Flights get canceled a lot or delayed. It's just part of flying into Aspen. No point in whining about it. It's part of the deal

Nice little airport and the nearest airport to me which makes it very convenient. Not only is it convenient but it is also a nice airport. I've only flown out of here on 2 flights so I don't know much about the place. However when I have been here my experience was pleasant, I have had a fast time getting my bags checked and I have gotten through TSA quickly. Compared to the many other airports I have flown out of, the TSA here is very fast and has little to no lines, although this airport is an exception because it is very small, has few flights each day compared to many airports and the airport is mostly used by private planes.

Short and sweet easy in and out place is spendy

Super clean and easy to navigate. When I needed direction a very polite airport staff member named Timmy took his time to show me exactly where to go which I found very professional.

Nice small town airport, everyone is very helpful
