Giant Food

I am always very satisfied with GIant. They have extensive kosher foods, a huge selection for glutenfree snd other allergies foods and even novelties. I am always pleased her and purchase far more than my intent!

I stopped here for curiosity. I grabbed some items. An employee did help us at the self check out. He was patient and understanding.

This has been my grocery store for years. Definitely recommend. Plus, Giant Rewards gives you points that you can redeem for grocery items.

As giant’s ok this one is fairly well stocked even some specialty items
Could use a few more of those imo(kimchi, miso paste ) but has a nice range of kombucha and organic items

I have enjoyed shopping at this Giant! Store has a great variety of choices! Appreciate how the Store is open until 10pm! I have had decent interaction with the associates and have had great experience shopping overall. One con: prices are predictably higher compared to Aldi's store (or even Trader Joe's) on some items. So you may have to do your research on what you should buy here.

I have been visiting this place for sometime now. It's has different varieties of products,ranging from fruits, vegetable, groceries ,meat,wine ,beer, soda and alot more. It's very condusive and thus, it's recommended to go shopping.

This store is one of the very few stores in MoCo that sells beer and wine. That’s an automatic 5 stars and there is a huge selection of a lot of things here, they even have a live lobster tank. I never thought I would enjoy grocery shopping but here I am saying I LOVE THIS STORE. 9.5/10 Almost always has my items in stock.

Clean location with great customer service. Location has a wide open parking lot

Sometimes the pharmacy doesn't answer the phone

I love my Gian. There is no other Food Store on this side of heaven, like my Giant.

I've never had a bad experience at this Giant and I've been shopping here for over ten years. The recent renovations have made the layout for the store a bit bigger which is a good thing. Now that I've learned the new layout of the store, I can get in and out in no time. The staff members are still as friendly and helpful as they've always been. Which is a reflection of not only each staff member as a person but also the Managerial Staff that leads them.

If I could give over 5 stars I would but 5 is the max! 😉

This is my local Giant and I’m starting to like it. It’s the only one with beer and wine in MoCo and the selection is pretty good. The floral shop is well stocked for a quick pick up before a date. I can usually find what groceries I’m looking for. The local shoppers are chock full of interesting characters. 😂

Amazing experience. A worker named Elsa was so kind. Giving me coupons at check out, and reminding me to use my club card for more savings. I didn't have one because I just moved to MD. She found me in the parking lot to find out why I hadn't used my club card. I told her I didn't have one and didn't want to be a bother. She helped me sign up and gave me back the cash savings on my purchase, more than $25!
The kindness of strangers is astonishing. Thank you Elsa. You are truly a beautiful soul.

I'm happy to report that things at most of the Giant locations have greatly improved in recent weeks, and I can now return to my original 5☆ reviews for them!

Unfortunately things at Giant have begun to fall off across the board. Giant has been my main grocery supplier for many years now, but recently I've regularly started finding items on the shelves that are past their expiration dates, weeks past the date in some cases. I'm very much hoping that this issue, as well as some issues with items not being kept properly stocked are a side effect of the situation we're facing due to Covid, and that I will be able to change this back to a 5 star ⭐ review again here in the near future. But for now I unfortunately would have to recommend doing your shopping elsewhere. 😔

Love this Giant! They have great customer service and they even have the scooters for handicapped customers. This is very helpful for me being handicapped myself. Their one employee Omar always assist me with loading my groceries into my car! They are just great! That's why they are always busy. Been coming here for 9years, every since I moved from downtown SilverSpring. They are so much better than shopping downtown at that Giant or the Safeway. Just love the store!!!!

A very good place to buy food etc.

I shop in the community in which I live. The Giant on Alabama Ave SE is my grocery store and pharmacy. Giant has to service all eighty thousands residents of Ward Eight. The quality of food is good and fresh. The shelves are fully stocked. The store is always busy. I would love to see better customer service, with greetings and smiles and more training given to employees with regard to their use of profanity, smoking and gathering at the entrance door. I notice the more seasoned experienced employees go down to the closed pharmacy entrance to smoke and congregate. That entrance should be reopened. A disabled customer must enter and navigate across the entire front of the store to reach the pharmacy. The same with getting a riding cart. They should be kept in the snack room near the front entrance. The manager should be on the store floor more often to interact with shoppers.
Two complaints which I don't want to take away from those who work diligently. The front entrance is filthy with trash, litter and gum on the concrete. It should be power washed frequently. The area where the carts are kept is equally filthy. It needs scrubbing nightly. Thanks to those who service our needs diligently and professionally.
