Book End Bookstore

Lots of books for half price... Currently over the last few weeks they have been cleaning up and removing old books so there's now more room down the aisles I'm uploading photos to show some of the progress that has been made and there's more still to do but it is a work in progress. Update on bookend bookstore, More has changed sense my last post uploading more photos.

Edit 08/27/2023: Bookstore will be having a National Read A Book Day, hardcover book sale September 6th through 9th. Buy a hardcover book at full price. Get the second one for a dollar.
Edit 10/21/2023: Having a cookbook sale starting November 1st for the holidays. Hardcover cookbooks are half off.

Very sweet guy that runs the store, very charming little book shop with pretty good prices too! Also, it does have a good selection of books!

Guessing a family business, enjoyed talking to owner, was told if you asked for a book, he would be able to find it, if it's there.

He never disappoints, he’s had some of the rarest books I’ve searched for and he’s so knowledgeable it’s incredible. I go often to get books and just to have conversations with the owner, highly recommend!!!

Owner knows where everything is in this shop packed with knowledge. You will find unusual categories looking around. The store is filled with college course books and casual reading books and everything in between. Give your eyes a break from the screen and relax into an adventure.

The owner was helpful and friendly. He seemed quite knowledgeable about all books that he owned and was willing to talk about any of them he wanted to. He definitely uses every inch of space to his advantage but in the end that just gives you more to choose from.

This is every readers dream bookstore with a somewhat-disorganized-yet-method-to-the-chaos feel that only the clerk, James, knows anything about. He is an avid reader, usually multiple books at one time, and he can answer almost any question, and pick out books he thinks you'll like based off of the ones you are looking for. Prices are amazingly cheap. BRING CASH!!! BRING CASH! No card machine, which is actually super cool in my book. It really makes you consider your purchases with a finite amount of physical money on hand.

The gentleman that runs this business is just amazing in every way, shape and form. He knows all his books like the back of his hand. He never disappoints :)

Definitely a must visit location in Jacksonville. Even if you aren’t big into reading, the atmosphere itself is worth experiencing. Many classic and new books are available. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Mr. James knows exactly what pile or shelf your book is stacked in off the top of his head.

Easily the best book shop in town. They have almost every book imaginable. The owner knows basically every single item in his shop and will help you out with anything you need. Great place to find all kinds of hidden gems. For a great price.

Love this place, and the owner is so knowledgeable and sweet. I'm so opposed to ebooks and this place gives me the good feel of a book in my hands that I truly appreciate. And without being overpriced like other bookstores around here. It's a local gem that any book lover should stop in and check out!!!

It's just like you'd hope from seeing it on the outside. That great old book smell as soon as you walk in, books on any topic you could possibly hope for. The gentleman that owns it recommended me some great westerns and was happy to help and talk about his books and his store. I would highly recommend it.

The owner has great knowledge and it shows in his love of literature. We stopped by on a whim and we are so happy we did.
