Elder's Ace Hardware- Dixie Lee Junction

Ace hardware, and even more so Elder's Ace Hardware, always has superior service, not to even be compared with other hardware stores, so when I say that Carey surprised me with over the top unbelievable service, I mean this even relative to their usual top tier service

She was ringing up a customer when I walked in and immediately directed me to the right aisle and location for the product I was looking for, seamless multitasking, and when I couldn't find it she went right to it immediately and was super helpful

When I got to the register she had run over there and was also even the one to check me out, there was a line of four or five people so I expected a wait but it was incredibly fast

10/10 fails to describe, 100/100 doesn't really cut it, on a scale of 1000 it was literally 1000/1000, could not even think what could have been done better

Come here for Yeti,glasses,clothes,Hummingbird feeders and potting soil! They have it all,they just need a food court😉

Bought a 100 lbs propane tank, they handled everything perfectly and quickly. Also, if you buy a new 20 lbs grill propane tank from them, the first fill is free. Great staff at this location!

Quick service even when it was super busy with everyone preparing for the winter storm. Better propane prices than U-Haul.

They stock more items than you would think they would. Store is bigger on the inside than it appears from the road. Very friendly and super helpful. Prices seemed very competitive compared to big box stores. Purchased a Toro lawn mower which was $75 less than big box locations.

Got 2 new car keys cut and he was very polite and didn't charge me for it.

Elders NEVER disappoints! I needed assistance purchasing an electric trimmer. Upon entering the store, the manager noticed me looking, asked if I needed assistance, and promptly sent Juan my way. Juan spent a great deal of time with me making sure I had everything I needed. Juan took the time to show me everything I needed to know about the tool I purchased. I was able to go right home, charge it, and use it without a problem. This type of customer assistance means a LOT. Another shout out to the fine folks in the back loading dirt and mulch. They do a great job and make things so much easier to get what we needed. Great leadership and great employees at Dixie Lee Junction! Thanks Elders, I’m a customer for life.

Great staff and plenty of inventory.

I have shopped at Elder's Ace Hardware for 20+ years. They are always eager to help, very knowledgeable and exceptionally pleasant. Their prices are reasonable and they almost always have what I want. They are an A+ local hardware store.

I found they have had what I needed for each of my ~50 visits over the years. Staff is more informed now than in the past. My wife likes to come with so she can visit the shopping area off to the right as you come in.

Ace is the classic neighborhood hardware store: do not expect a home depot selection and expect somewhat higher prices. I cannot complain too much, however, because it saves me the 30 minutes trip to the nearest home depot whenever I need to purchase just a few screws.

Good location. Has most everything you need for home improvements. Tons of Yeti stuff too. Good prices, comparable to big box stores.

Great store that had everything I needed and the person to show me where. Also let my dog come in with me and treated my dog like a prince. Gave him treats and lots of loving. Found my parts in less than 10 minutes but stayed almost 30 letting people pet and mingle with my pit bull. We both absolutely loved it

Really friendly awesome folks and selection was missing one part of my trip but it's not the end of the world so I am really happy!!!

Many of my projects require expertise and advice that you just don’t get at the big box hardware stores. If you go there, it must be about price because it is definitely not about service.
When you go to Elders, people like Taylor listen, help and then walk you to where the products are that you need. What Elders knows how to do is build customer loyalty. You buy it there, they service it there. Priceless.

I recently placed an order online to pick up at this Ace Hardware and was a very unhappy with the process of picking up the order. It took me 3 times as long to pick up this order than it would have taken if I'd just gone in the store and selected the items and checked out. NOT a happy experience.

UPDATE: I recently ordered several items for curb side pick up and was pleased with the speed of service, so I've changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars.

Love Ace Hardware stores!! This one is no different. I went in to have an automobile key made for $4!! The staff is always friendly and helpful. They price their clearance to move. The variety in the store is large enough to get you what you need for that small family owned business feel. I honestly go to this Ace Hardware purposefully because the one in Kingston closed.
