Our lab has just had her 2nd TPLO surgery. I cannot praise Dr Mitchell and the staff enough. The dog was not scared to return for review, which she was previously. Am extremely happy with the service and would recommend.

The doctors here (my dog sees Dr. Moore is phenomenal. Nurses, too. Their treatment plan has made a serious improvement in my dog Molly's health. Pet care is expensive, but these guys really care. They're typically quite busy, so I'd plan some extra time. They offer 6 month interest free financing (always read the fine print) , which was necessary for the E.R. visit cost for a 2 night stay.

We had an amazing experience with every individual at Animal Emergency. I would love to specifically mention Dr Jacqueline Whittemore. She was so thorough and kind with our precious miniature schnauzer Zoe. She spent time on the phone thoroughly explaining her process, as well as making time to visit us in person during our last visit. Dr Brian Phillips was also amazing, and we so appreciated his knowledge and expertise that allowed us to make the appropriate decision for our sweet girl. Zoe developed a very aggressive urethral carcinoma, and we decided to make the unfortunate decision for any pet owner. We were able to explore all options because of the care and medical treatment she received at this facility. Thank you Dr Whittemore, Dr Phillips and everyone that cared for our baby girl!!

Everyone has always been genuinely kind and helpful when I've visited. Years ago when I brought my sick cat, this past year when my dog needed surgery, and recently when I had to stop by. Always really nice when I call, even during the night!

I highly recommend!! Our red Doberman, Tessa was rushed to this amazing ER facility back a few weeks ago due to not eating, dehydration, and almost on the brink of death for unknown reasons. I thought she had eaten something that had been stuck in her digestive tract but found out it was just a severe UTI infection due to 3 negative gram bacteria in her urinary tract. She showed zero symptoms which was weird to me and a close friend who has a 40yr medical background. Their employees were extremely kind to her and me. Their staff was very informative when it came to charges but most importantly the care she would be receiving during three day stay. The Doctor also found a genetic defect in her right kidney that our family Vet and AKC didn't know about. So now she can receive the lifetime care her kidney will need thanks to their detailed-oriented care. I will say, it got a little expensive due to her having to stay for several days but WELL WORTH every penny because their team saved Tessa's young life as she just celebrated her one-year birthday. I'll say it again, I highly recommend this Veterinarian Specialist for Emergency purposes! I would definitely use them again, Heaven forbid if we have another emergency for one of our dogs.
Pictures posted below of her during her near-death experience and our other dogs.

We have a cat that had an advanced case of soft tissue sarcoma. Initially we saw Dr Phillips who referred us to their surgical oncologist, Dr Megan Mitchell, to have a very specialized surgery to remove the tumor. It has taken several months of treatment but our Pye is all done and adjusting well. All of the staff here are friendly and thoughtful. Dr Mitchell gets 💐💐💐 ‘s and our respect for her knowledge and skill . We are thankful to everyone for the excellent care Pye received. Do not hesitate to come to this veterinary center for help because you will wish you had come sooner.

I don’t know where to start. We unexpectedly lost our boxer Loki on 9/5 and took him to them for cremation services. First the lady on the phone that took my daughters call was so patient because she was so distraught that she could barely speak. Then when we arrived the service we received was amazing. This is our first loss and so we were lost but they guided us through the process and we’re so gracious! The crematorium they use is Paw Angels and they are fabulous the way they presented his ashes in a blue gift bag, a beautiful wooden box with his ashes in a blue crushed velvet bag and the creation certificate. I was blown away because they presented our pups ashes better that the funeral home did when my father-in-law passed. So today 10 days later we received a sympathy card with all the staffs names and his paw print! They’ve made our loss a little more bearable! Thank you for not only taking care of the animals you take care of but thank you for taking care of their humans!

We've, unfortunately, used the services of Animal Emergency & Specialty Center twice in the past year and a half. Both times it was for a senior dog that had end of life issues related to their age. Both times, the staff at AESC quickly diagnosed the situation, told us what the options were, then gave us as much time as needed to make a decision and ultimately, say goodbye. In the days after, their staff sent cards and letters of condolences to our home. The staff is kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Thank you, AESC.

Took my dog here because a raccoon attacked him. They updated me every 10-20 minutes, explained everything and answered all my questions. I had to go back for help changing the bandages and they were happy to help. This place is awesome.

I absolutely cannot say enough about this amazing place and the impeccable staff. They took excellent care of my cat, Mitch. Their love for animals and compassion for pet owners is evident in every step of the process. Their skills, knowledge base, professionalism, commitment to keeping the family informed, and quest to determine the best treatment option all make them such a blessing. Mitch is on the mend and that makes me very grateful and happy.

I had to bring my sweet boy Reggie here over the weekend in the middle of the night. Making that decision and saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing I've had to do. I never got any names name, I was such a mess but everyone was so nice and understanding. They explained things to be a let me be with him for as long as I needed before and after. The vet (or tech I'm not sure) said a little pray for him which wrecked me in the moment but I'm so glad she did.

I called AESC Knoxville to determine if I needed to bring my dog in and they responded quickly with honest guidance to bring him in. The front desk staff and tech were friendly when I checked in and the tech went over price expectations and explained possible procedures before taking my dog for the doctor to examine. They were efficient in taking x-rays and performing other procedures and it was not long before I got to talk to the doctor. Dr. Hopper explained each step of what had been done for my dog and why it was important. I really appreciated her compassion and honest guidance on next steps. From a financial standpoint, I feel the prices were more than fair and that the goal of this hospital was to be realistic about what was needed and to start from there. Hopefully I will not be back soon but I am glad I found an emergency vet I can trust in the future if needed.

I brought my 20 year old dog here late one night after he had a medical emergency. We knew it was time to end his suffering. They showed compassion from the moment we walked in the door. We were promptly taken care of and put in a private room. The staff was caring and thoughtful through the entire process and explained everything thoroughly. We went and picked up his ashes today and when I got home and checked the mail there was also a card with his name and paw prints inside, along with sweet messages from the staff. They treated us and our dog with respect and understood that he was our baby, not just our dog. I sincerely appreciate every person we interacted with that night.

Listen, nobody is gonna like the prices. That is part of it, but it is NO ISSUE when I’m up with my pets who need help asap! The physician and staff are amazing, and every time I’ve been here they have been welcoming and kind.

No amount of money is too much to bring comfort to my furry family.

Do you know that saying you get what you pay for? That holds true especially with this place! The staff from the front desk to the surgeon to the people in the back to take care of that ICU animals well above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to my beloved Mika. The day we bought her in I thought was gonna be the last day I was ever gonna be able to hug her honestly thought she was dying. Didn’t know what was wrong with her and ran several tests, and found out that she had a several different things going on. She decided she was going to eat something she shouldn’t have and I was clocking her intestine. Along with arthritis, she was not able to walk keep her balance. 24 hours later with a diagnosis they were able to perform emergency surgery. They were able to stabilize her and now she is home. She’s been home now little over 24 hours she’s walking better she’s eating better she’s barking better. I will not bring my animals anywhere else when I need urgent care. Your staff is amazing God bless you all and thank you all for my family for saving our girl.

Photo show day of admittance day of surgery day after surgery homecoming day and today. Again God bless you all thank you so very much.

Had to take my cat to be put down. We were going to do it in the morning, but it got too bad. It was close to midnight. Everyone from the front desk to the dr to the techs were amazing and so kind. They talked us through everything and were gentle. They handled my cat with such kindness and care. Even gave us nose and paw prints to take with us. They were kind and quick and made a horrible process a little better.

Second time having to use this ER for a cat. Second time visiting, the staff was just as amazing as the first. Hopeing I won't have to see anyone from this ER again, but I'll definitely recommend them to anyone. (It's not cheap, but they don't run unnecessary tests that can be done in next few days at primary vet. )

Wonderful to have a 24/7 emergency vet option in this area. We were seen quickly (not a life-threatening emergency) by caring and knowledgeable staff. The facility was clean and we left with a diagnosis we were confident about. We received clear instructions for care for our German Shepherd and were given the meds he needed. While it was not inexpensive, the location, hours and care are worth it.

Wonderful staff took excellent care of our Bobbie kitty!! He was having difficulty with FLUTD and ended up needing surgery. Which meant he spent a few days at the clinic. I got daily calls with updates and everything was explained in a way that I could understand. We even got to go visit Bobbie and the staff was super supportive. At discharge they came out and talked to me about home care one on one and listened to me and answered all my questions. We tried another vet er but are much happier here.

Wonderful staff, super clean, and highly recommended!!
