Rather small, but still easy to get around everyone else shopping and still look at everything. The ladies were SO nice there and when I asked them if they had something specific they helped me look for it. Their book collection is truly lovely and there's loads of kids books. So happy to have found this place. Only negative is their donation hours are extremely specific. So you can't just stop in and donate when they're open. All in all, check it out! Everything is free :)

Starting Spring 2021 the store reopened for outdoor pop-up events and now allows shopping only during Wed and Sunday hours, and donations only on Saturdays. See FreeStore Facebook page for details. Great community resource and wonderful volunteers who run it.

Great place; kind and courteous people. They accept donations of used or new items. Everything in the 'store' is free. They even had some food items--bread. It was a nice little place. I would love to donate more items to them.

A Fun Happy Place, overflowing with Positive Compassionate Energy...

A 'Free' Thrift Store - run by the community, for the community. Upcycle your possessions, and help others by allowing them the same privilege!

The Free Store has been around for almost 2 years now (I am fairly sure...), and after being closed for a month, ~ 3 months ago, has been completely renovated for efficiency. *Always Drop Off Items INSIDE the STORE* - someone will help you unload your vehicle if needed!

I have been a frequent regular - both with Donating all sorts of things, and Finding useful things. I was an 'un-official volunteer' most of that past year or so, they did not need me to cover past shifts, but I would repair items for the 'store', and I often spent my time organizing the electronics, cords, tools, for them during visits. I might apply again, and see you as one of the official volunteers sooner than later! The only 'rules' are Items should work, or be worth being restored, items taken are to be USED - NOT sold or flipped... They have a flexible rule of 10 different items taken per week. They do accept Cash Donations, to pay for the lights/space/AC - This is a non-profit charity with little overhead.

This Place is Wonderful and Unique - A Free 'Thrift Store". The entire place is focused is on 'Upcycling' - the idea of which, you acquire something 'better' than you had - but that 'old' item still works just fine, and is useful. You no longer need that old item, so you thus Donate it to the Free Store - for another member of the community to find/take/use/enjoy! It is better than what they had, or is perhaps something they wanted/needed. Thus the item has been 'Upcycled' successfully! If the person who took 'your' item, had a different version - they then can bring in that item they had been using, for yet another member of the community to Use/Enjoy! This cycle works wonderfully, with many types of things, all it requires is good Karma. Why trash something, or 'Feed' the beast? When someone across town would gratefully use your old/unused item? Improve your life, Improve the lives of others, Repeat!

All sorts of People from every walk of Life frequent this place! They keep a 'stock' which can cycle weekly - of Books, Tapes, Music, Toys, Housewares, Tools, Electronics (except CRT televisions - unless 'Unique'), Fabrics, Arts and Craft supplies, Everything EXCEPT for Food and Clothing... They do take Hats, Belts, Bags, Luggage... All donated items just should still be in useable condition - unless it is a Vintage/Antique which someone would enjoy Restoring! Unless pre-approved, all items should be able to be carried by hand (sizing reference).

Housewares/Books/Music/Videos/Toys are always present in some form and quantity! This place evokes and encourages the best and most effective way to find 'treasures', and to get 'former treasures' quickly into the hands of others within your community. A popular theme is to Donate anything which did not sell at your Garage Sale!

I like to say that the Free Store is literally Karma Incarnate!

Come experience it for yourself! :)

The Free Store is a Special Place, and I wish it Long Term 'Success'. I will continue to help as I can. It quickly made me into a lifelong advocate of the wonderful idea of Upcycling! I pray that the concept spreads and becomes common everywhere in the not so distant Future... It is a refreshing reprieve from the Stress of Capitalism... Oh! Also, your Donations are Tax Deductible... Everyone Wins!

I like it because it gives you a chance to take your unused things in and maybe somebody can use that and then you can take something if you see something that you can use!

The lines to get in are not fun but it's worth it once you get inside. They will be in place until covid is over
