Went when it wasn't too busy. I found everything quickly and everything was well organized. The employee at checkout was friendly and fast. If you want a quick and easy checkout go when it's not too busy.

Stopped in for a quick visit to get some items and it was very clean and organized.
Jerry, our cashier, was very polite and helpful with a price question. He was very kind; what a positive experience.

I have always had a good experience at this store. Nice neighborhood supermarket. Staff is pleasant, food is fresh and prices are comparable to other stores.

I find this Foodtown to be a real go to spot. Many times when other grocery stores in the area closed for the day, they are still open. The selection is decent and there are plenty of cake and cookie options despite not having a full bakery.

Foodtown has been a stable of the Hewlett community for over 45 years.
They always seem to have whatever I'm shopping for, as well as a big kosher section.
The staff is always helpful and friendly.
It is a delight to shop there.

Open late which is great! Wide selection and that's really all we need. Produce could be a little better but that's just NYC in general let's be honest

Very lovely experience! Great staff! In my book that's a huge plus! Prices here are reasonable. The aisles are adequately spaced. I picked some eggs and juice. Signed up for club membership and....was offered a $5.00 off coupon, as a new customer, to be used on my next visit! Ample parking, wide selection of fruits and veg....did I mention they carry organic?. ...

Googlemaps has a chart that shows when Foodtown is busiest, and when it is emptiest. I recommend going when it is emptiest -- within an hour or two of closing. Closes 10 PM on Sunday, 11 PM the other days.

Update: A sunny, cool October Saturday afternoon. For the present 3 PM to 4 PM slot, Googlemaps said FoodTown is "Not Too Busy," and less-busy than average. So I went there, and it really was "not too busy." It was very pleasant. I don't know how Googlemaps keeps up to date on instantaneous conditions inside the store, but the system has been accurate for me.

A year ago, "E" wrote: "Staff friendly, very over priced, aisles very tight." I disagree. "Overpriced" is the KeyFood at Ocean Ave and Sunrise Hwy, but their aisles are super-wide if you're claustraphobic. "Tight aisles" is the King Kullen at Peninsula Blvd and Rockaway Ave, too uncomfortable for me to go there a second time, so I can't say if they're beneficial in some way.

Foodtown in Hewlett was fantastic it's a food store what can I say about it this parking which some stores don't have that prices are fair and the people are friendly that's about it remember we're shopping for food here it doesn't take a rocket scientist to be able to understand what you're doing in a food store that sells ourselves they're high priced items are high price we're living in times right now where everything is going to be high priced so my suggestion to anyone who is reading this get used to high prices because that's the new Norm see you

Good deals usually! Fresh produce and okay staff. I like this store for quick stuff.

Also…they have water for Poland springs tanks in the front!

It’s smaller than my regular grocery store but they have a large selection of healthier foods. They cater to the community which has older residents, families and people of the Jewish faith. I love the fresh bread and bakery options. My daughter and I were able to plan two full meals and get every item needed.

There is one little African American lady that makes this store Shine! She wears many hats while being, not only Knowledgeable, but going beyond to make sure you are finding exactly what you need. I was so impressed by her willingness to help as well as her friendly disposition God Bless her.

Today brave checkout personnel and their manager stood up to a psychotic anti masker who thought if she screamed loud enough, she could ignore the rules and spread the pandemic. Thank you for keeping the neighborhood safe and fed during this time.

Today I shopped at FOODTOWN in Hewlett New York. I have been a customer for over 35 years. I always enjoyed shopping here because the employees are beyond great! Today, for some CRASY reason, I pushed my cart to my car and as I approached my house, I looked to my backseat and I didn’t see my shopping bag! So I drove back immediately and went into the store to customer service . The woman who works there is the nicest person you can meet and I asked her if anyone had my bag of groceries. She said yes! I thanked her many times and she told me that it was returned to customer service by a nice man who gathers the shopping carts in the parking lot! I highly recommend shopping at FOODTOWN of Hewlett because the people who work there are honest and very kind! Thank you soooo much! Paulina from north Woodmere
