Ideal Food Basket

Simply the best supermarket in the area. Food is always fresh, the place is spotless, the place is huge, and food is never expired on the shelf. Whatever you’re looking for you’ll find it here, and many of it. Why waste your time going to a small supermarket when you can come here and see everything there is to see. A large frozen food section as well as an exceptionally large deli. They carry food that you don’t normally see in another supermarkets. I came here for the cat food because I feed 7 stray cats along with my cat. So I have to buy cat food in bulk, approximately $200 worth of cat food a month. Since they have great prices I’m able to save money, cheaper than going to Petco or Petsmart. Whatever you’re looking for you’ll find it here and plenty of it. It’s rare that they run out of something. They hire people that actually want to work here. I’ve never had a problem with the cashier or staff. They are not so great when it comes to parking, but the parking garage is available for a fee at the entrance.

I was amazed with this grocery venue from the moment I entered through the door. Deli salad beyond delicious & they will chop it up for you if requested. Bakery butterscotch & pistachio cupcakes are to die for. The staff are very accommodating. The store itself is clean, bright & organized for fast/easy shopping.

Great super market, fresh produce, really fresh looking meats, wonderful deli and hot food section, fresh bakery, high quality, friendly staff, puts the big chain grocery stores to shame. And always well stocked!!

Update-As with everything else, prices are high for some meats like chicken. Almost double what I normally would pay. But, store is still well stocked and staff is friendly and helpful

Good supermarket. Places are a little bit higher than other sup markets in the Jamaica area, but so far the quality of the products is good. Would recommend.

I love shopping at Ideal Supermarkets. The store is clean and has great lighting. It's very easy to shop here. As you enter you will find the deli which features Boars head products. Next is fruit and vegetables and the back aisle is meats which feature Halal and Purdue chicken. The lines are never long and they also have a self-check out lane!

Well stocked supermarket with a variety of goods with reasonable prices

Good market! Good size for a market in that area. Usually they are small and crowded. This one has room to move around. A good selection of most items. The prices, while not super cheap, are definitely reasonable. Nice deli counter, with salads made-to-order, or pre-made. It's also near the F train (last stop) and many bus lines. And there is parking too!
This Ideal Market is way better than the one on Sutphin Blvd. It's cheaper, bigger, roomier, and the workers seem to be a little bit nicer.

This is my go-to shopping place after work. Some prices are high, but I always love the products here and the atmosphere is nice and clean for a supermarket. Definitely has a nice range of stuff to shop for and is fairly organized. Staff are cool, but could afford to wake up a little sometimes. Oh well, how happy can you be if you work in a supermarket, right? I used to work at one a long time ago… then I woke up.

Ideal is probably the nicest supermarket in the area. Some of their items are a bit on the pricier side (especially the things near the front such as the cheeses, salads, etc) but for the most part things are usually fairly priced, and they have a wide enough assortment of products, although I do think this is an area of improvement. They also have self checkout for shorter shopping trips. Most importantly it is noticeably very clean and well organized, and does not feel cramped at all like most other supermarkets nearby and in NYC in general, which makes shopping here a lot less stressful. Overall a solid supermarket for basic/general needs.

This restaurant is superb. I love to shop at Ideal supermarket cause all their food products are fresh. They also have a parking lot for their customers. I do recommend this supermarket to anyone. Their prices are a bargain and they've delivery service. It can't get better than that. If anyone is looking for a good supermarket in their neighborhood, I say go to Ideal supermarket. They'll not regret it. Good day.

I feel that they have the best bagels, and they carry a variety of them. However, you must shop early to partake of the variety - going later, the pickings will be few.

I love this supermarket because their produce is so fresh. They offer a plethora of different grocery options and they are pretty well priced.
