Iam so grateful for the excellent customer service from the manager, Vince and courtesy clerk, Tony. I forgot to take my change from the self checkout and upon calling the store, they informed me that they had my money and tried to get me before leaving the parking lot. It's nice to know that there are honest people in the world - thanks once again.....

Ralphs at Ocean Ranch in Dana Point is, without a doubt, the best supermarket I've ever shopped at. Since moving nearby two years ago, I've consistently experienced friendly and helpful staff, a well-managed store, and a constant supply of fresh food. While the deli can be a bit slow, it's a minor issue in an otherwise perfect shopping experience. Five stars all the way!

Our family recently got hit by COVID so I finally tried online grocery ordering/pick-up and had such a great experience! Sophia handled both of our orders and was very punctual and professional. Definitely would recommend!

The store is very clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Alayna, one of the store managers is probably the hardest working store manager I’ve known. She’s very proactive and helpful. When I can’t find a product, she knows exactly where it is.Love talking to her, good personality.

This is my all-time favorite Ralph's location because of it's variety, quality, & quantity. This location has more Manager's Special items on a regular basis than I've ever seen at any other location. There is also a Gourmet Cheese Section w/ experts working behind it's counter all day long. This location also features a Starbucks, a full-service deli, sushi bar, soup/salad bar, meat/seafood counter, & bakery. SO convenient! The store is larger in size, & although there are many other stores in this same plaza, the parking lot is not that bad at all (especially considering all of the traffic from other stores!)

I was amazed the moment I entered this establishment; the floors were waxed and shiny, the staff was friendly, and the selection of freshly prepared food items was nothing short of delightful. The real joy, however, happened when I walked into an aisle filled with items I couldn't have imagined: a huge variety of shiny crystalline bottles filled with nature's ambrosia, which I like to call booze.

There were options on top of options on top of options! "What joys would today bring?" I thought to myself. Was I to choose the clearest of Tequila? The finest Rye whiskey money could buy? Perhaps some of the exceptional offerings from California's own Napa Valley?

The decision was difficult. I pondered over my many options, choosing (wisely) to avoid any of the decadence I had enjoyed the month prior at the Luxe Martini Bar.

Ultimately I settled on a hidden, somewhat dusty, but very vintage and rare find: an untouched bottle of 1984 Ripple Blanc. Oh, the excitement!

As I stood in line at the checkout register, the friendly Ralph's checkout girl asked me with a smile if I had my frequent saver card. I did not, but she was very helpful in assisting me in the sign up process. Any store with the diamond in the rough I was purchasing was certainly going to get my repeated business.

Once we had finished signing up for the savings card, the checkout employee forewarned me that a plastic bag would have a ten cent surcharge; for me, this would not do. I needed paper. The clerk gave me a wink and a smile, and produced from her station a perfectly sized brown paper bag and surreptitiously slid it across the counter to me.

I was on my way.

I walked contemplatively to the nearest door stoop where I prepared myself for this experience. Would this be a wine without fruity flavors and with bitter tannins, which leave a rough, raspy feeling, high acidity, or both? Absolutely not. My palate anticipated a balanced, aromatic, and ample vino. I prepared my space.

I took my seat upon the stoop, and set the mood with some Sugarhill Gang on the smartphone speaker. I prepared my White Owl, which has a reputation for burning slowly, and uncorked the '84 Ripple.

What happened next is beyond compare.

As the Ripple flowed across my taste buds and down my esophagus, I was taken back to that place which reminded me of such great cinematic classics as "Born on the Fourth of July" and "Forrest Gump" (the Lt. Dan in NYC for NYE scenes, specifically).

I went back to Ralph's as I pondered this.

I was again welcomed into the store with not only a smile, but a concerned look from other customers. Perhaps it was my clothing, or the wheelchair I had acquired that afternoon. Either way, I was again feeling as if I were a guest in a luxurious grocery store in Southern California.

I again found my way to the Aisle of Contentment and made several selections, ranging from whiskey to tequila to vodka, and from brown liquor to white. I needed the entire spectrum of experience.

I again used my frequent shopper savings card and was on my way.

At this point it becomes a little bit hazy. I could tell, from deep inside my mind, that I was really getting into the mindset of a wheelchair bound hero in the early 1980s. There were sensations of moving smoothly down a hill, unencumbered by the necessity to walk sans wheels. There was the spicy and warm feeling of a pepper-based aerosol spray which must have been mistakenly discharged into my face by one of my newfound drinking friends, who must have been also experiencing life from another perspective as I vaguely recall them being dressed like law enforcement fellows.

At this point, the experience became so authentic I must have slipped entirely out of body, because I don't recall anything further until opening my eyes in the Orange County Central Men's Complex and All Inclusive Resort (Please see my review of said).

Ralph's is a beautiful grocery store, and I would certainly recommend getting the savings card.
