Gelson's Dana Point

Fantastic selection of quality pre-made cold and hot food choices, as well as custom made-to-order sandwiches, my favorite lunch destination when I work in the area.

Always an extremely friendly experience. Reyna in the deli, Monica in the flower department and Sean in the wine bar always provide exceptional service.
Linda is a very friendly and efficient cashier.

What a beautiful grocery store. The prices here are high but the quality is amazing.

The poke bar was so nice, you can create your own bowl. They had a few different fish options including tuna, salmon and even octopus. They had confidantes to go on and it was one of the best poke bowls I’ve ever had. The tuna melted in my mouth.

We also got soup to go for dinner from the hot bar and it was really good. We had the chicken noodle and tomato soup.

The produce was really fresh and organized and the butchery had great selections of meat.

They are more health forward so you see healthier brands for packaged items.

Helpful services, deli counter is one of the best ever, plus the new wine bar is amazing. The store is immaculate, but then I have been a Gelson shopper for a very long time. My husband is there almost every other day. It’s been our go to market for 50 years!

Each member of the staff made it a pleasure to shop there, from the grocery bagger, to the checker, to the hot deli counter staff person, to the manager. This is an excellent team. The selection is broad, the customer service is extraordinary, and the store is beautiful. We drive extra miles to shop at this store.

The butcher cut my pork chops just like I like them and divided them in freezer size packs just right for two people. The quality of your meat is so high. I love shopping at your butcher shop.

Amazing customer service displayed in Produce department and at check-out by cashier and bagger! Store is clean and immaculate. Food is fresh and deli has outstanding display of offerings.

Really good grocery store. Great handmade sandwiches , incredible staff. Also a place to go to find their own pre made lunches, salads and other. First time here, and not the last!

So everything went well 2 15 pound turkeys and a full ham and a tray of sushi. Got everything. Paid everything 2 weeks prior with credit card, got a email with a code.
Went to check out gave the check person the email and they scanned the code and did not show paid? Took some time, finally the MGR came over and I showed him the emails, he said I paid, and I checked out. I think in the future, the code you send should indicate that all the items were paid.

Beautiful flowers up front and the staff is so friendly! I always find the prettiest napkins for special occasions and hostess gifts.

I love the fact that they have a clean restroom that doesn't have a code on the door. They also carve turkey for sandwiches, which looked amazing! The place is expensive but the variety is great.

Love This store I have Shopped Gelsons markets for over 20 years. I moved to Dana Point a year and a half ago and continued my Gelsons tradition!!

Shout out the florist department specifically Monica who created this stunning corsage for my son Mark’s date. It was quite the piece!

Exceptionally beautiful and located right on the cliff above PCH with a beautiful view of the ocean seen right in the parking lot, just over to the side. Great shops, restaurants Starbucks Coffee, everything is there in this Plaza by the Sea.

The cashier was sooooo friendly and the person who assisted her with bagging our groceries was also really nice. We wish there was a Gelson's in Las Vegas/Henderson area!

Good selection always! Whether it's Brother's Spumoni, Major Tom Mango Chutney, Knorr Vegetable dip or Red Currant Jelly, I can always find what I'm looking for at Gelson's. Staff is always professional and always a manager readily available up front to answer any questions.

Always a pleasant shopping experience. Good selection. Store just the right size. Friendly staff.

It's sort of like the "Cheers" bar but it's at my grocery store and I don't have to fly to Boston.

If I can give 10 stars I will. The Manager and Staff 3 of them (unfortunately I was not able to get their names) tried to helped each other figuring out what happened or where that order came from so they can complete the order they know nothing about. They have to rely on the confirmation on the email that I received. One of the staff especially worked back and forth trying to see whether a substitute item will work for me since they ran out of some side dishes I chose online.
