This game shop is a gem! The owner is a very nice guy and a pleasure to do business with every time I am in the store. His 'Modern' game selection is sometimes a little slim, but I can only hope this is due in part to good sales and smart purchasing of trade-ins. The collection of vintage and hard to find items however is incredible! The prices all seem very fair given item condition and age. I try to visit this shop once every few months to see what cool new things are available. I try to share news of any events where he could potentially vend or spread the word of the company.

I wish Red Genesis the best in all their business for years to come, and I hope to continue finding cool games from time to time. Highly recommend!!!

This place is amazing. It's so great to have an awesome used video game and collector item store here in Gaston County. Red is a cool guy and maintains his stock very well. He gives the store a friendly and welcoming vibe. I always enjoy stopping by to see what kind of cool new stuff he has. If you're into video games old and new, you should definitely stop by Red Genesis.

This shop is amazing!! I popped in earlier this week for my first visit. I didn't know what to expect. But, the shop had everything I could possibly imagine from Ghostbusters to Simpsons and everything in between. I bought a small figure of Gilligan from Gilligan's Island. It's an epic little figure! I'll definitely be popping back in sometime soon to buy more collectable figures.

By far, Red's is the best collectible toy shop I've ever shopped at! A+++

Red is the nicest dude you will ever come across and he gives great deals on some really awesome vintage toys BUT don’t track mud on his floor (inside joke😆) he has the greatest store on earth I highly suggest stopping in everyone has nothing but kind things to say about him! Love ya red!!🤘🏻

Absolutely amazing store and the owner is awesome. I very highly recommended going here for your buying and selling of vintage collectable toys. You won't be disappointed at all. And everything is at an affordable price. It's almost more like a museum then a store. So take an awesome trip down memory lane n check it out

Red Genesis always has something I want. Red is a great guy and super friendly. Store is packed from wall to wall, floor to ceiling with vintage toys. Prices are better than anyone in the area and it's not even close. Glad to have Red Genesis in my area to check out every week!

WOW!! And I mean WOW!! Walking into Red Genesis is like stepping back in time! Unbelievable selection, and Red is SUPER knowledgeable about all things vintage. Did a trade on some of my G.I Joes, and walked out of there some totally vintage Halloween masks. And.... He even gave my Daughter a Pokémon at NO CHARGE! Red, you're awesome! Red is a rad dude. I visited hid sweet little shop in Gastonia, NC this past holiday season, where I met the proprietor, Red. In business for ten months (if I remember details correctly), Red has a great thing going on, and I hope to visit and make some purchases again.

The shop is cozy and not overflowing with a disorganized mess of toys, despite the fact he could probably squeeze more product in there. There are several display cases with some of my favorite toy lines, such as Exo-Squad, Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and so much more, with tons of great toys and action figures from the 1980s through today, and likely with some older vintage toys as well. He’s got eclectic lines such as Germs (1988). There are packaged figures and loose figures bagged up, GI Joe, Star Wars, Marvel Legends, DC Superheroes, and so much more, to varying degrees of completeness. From what I could tell, prices are reasonable and competitive.

Red has got video games and systems too. VHS! There are some good dollar comic books, which I partook in while also finding a fun LEGO insert catalog I missed out on during my “dark ages.”

There’s a little free box where I got my Wizard of Oz-loving friend a great little Tin Man. I wanted to dig out one or two more things, but didn’t want to be greedy, but there is some great stuff in there!

I also witnessed Red being super awesome with a father and his young kid, finding some Captain America items to make that kid’s day! That’s some great service from someone who not only loves having this store, but also loves the sense of joy and wonder he can create within the community of collectors and players young and old. Heck, I called on a Tuesday (one of his closed days) and he answered to let me know his hours for the week--customer service can't exceed that quality!

If you make it to the Charlotte, NC area, be sure to stop by Red Genesis, and consider dropping some green.

Love this place. So many memories in one location. Purchased many collectables from him. Always the best prices and Red knows his stuff inside and out.

We were just passing through and found this great shop not far from the interstate. The space is very well curated for the square footage. It's packed with a good variety of vintage toys, but each section is displayed in a way that's not cluttered or overwhelming. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. I got a great deal on some pieces I was hunting. I'll definitely drop in the next time I'm traveling in the area.

LOVE this place, I send anyone & everyone I know or meet who is into retro gaming / retro toy collecting to this dude, he has so much stuff you played with when you were a child it warms the cockles in your heart 🖤. I'll stop by anytime I'm around that side of town, you'll also buy your stuff if you're trying to sell I would certainly at the very least let him give you a price before you sell it to the s*** show down the road, those guys know nothing they might have a bit larger of a store but you can only look at so many copies of super Mario Bros, they can't help you with anything because they don't know anything unless of course you're into the card game they play there 😉. Long story short if you're reading these to decide whether you should take the time to go check him out , you certainly should!!!!
