Gateway to Essentials

I spent a week at the Sheraton in Raleigh for business. This store was truly a life saver. The man who owns it, is one of the most genuine and grateful people I have met.

While his business is inside of the hotel, he is not affiliated with them so his prices are not astronomical. They are better than anywhere else around for little convenience necessities.

If you’re in town for business or pleasure, this store will have what you need at a reasonable price. Please support this store and this amazing man trying to show the American Dream is still alive and well

This convenient shop is awesome. It located near the lobby of the Sheraton Downtown Raleigh. The shop is very well organized with variety of stuffs and prices are reasonable. Also, the owner is really kind. If you're in the area, there is no need to go anywhere else.

I very rarely ever write a review for a convenience store and when I do it’s because it really deserves a GOOD review!! The owner is the most friendly and kind man. This store is NOT a part of Sheraton but it is within the SAME building on the lower level when you actually enter the Sheraton Hotel. It is on the right side at the end. It’s a mom and pop store that was renovated to be more than just your average convenience store. The prices are good, the coffee and tea are affordable around 2$. There is a brand new Kurig Machine, microwave for purchased items, and the store is very clean and well stocked. It’s one of the reasons I like staying at the Sheraton Hotel for work. I know if I need anything it’s right below me because there isn’t anything nearby. It is a little confusing to find your way so to make it easier I took a video of the store and back to the front desk of the hotel. :)

During Galaxy Con or any event or get-away this is the store you need to go to. Best prices and the best customer service around.

No reason to spend double the money for a beverage or snacks when you can go to Gateway to essentials and save money and time.

Tipu, the owner has worked very hard to create a clean space for all of your essentials. I checked in and realized that I left all of my chargers at home, the airport prices were so high, but Tipu offered quality chargers at a reasonable price. I was also able to pick up a few extra items. The store is clean and Tipu is very kind. Thank you!

I stayed in the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel as part of a team competing in the TST 7v7 tournament. In the lobby of the hotel was a convenience store which is quite hidden, but I was fortunate enough to find it. I visited everyday and the guy in there couldn’t be more supportive of us as a team and we had a good chat! Definitely recommend stopping by

I am so grateful that this store is in my building!! You can find anything you need in a business day-charger cables, basic OTC medicines, greeting cards, even “emergency” ties for those impromptu business meetings! Plus every snack/drink you could want! The owner is super nice and goes out of his way to make every customer feel special. If I could give the store 10 stars I would! ❤

I am in town for a conference at the Sheraton, and found everything I needed at this shop. I greatly appreciate the healthy snack options, as well as the availability of office supplies, stationary, and electronic accessories. Very convenient location, and the owner is extremely nice and knowledgable.

The owner is always very kind and courteous. The store it self is always kept clean and well organized. The prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely recommend stopping in here if you ever need any snacks, drinks, toiletries, and other various necessities. (It can also be hard to find but if you go inside the Truist Building (also referred to as the BB&T building) from the Fayetteville street entrance, go down the escalator and look to your right and you’ll see it!)

This convenient little shop is located near the lobby of the Sheraton Downtown Raleigh, next to the escalators on the BB&T side of the building. I visit often during the work week to grab a snack and a drink. The shop is very well organized and I have never seen a place as clean and neat! There is a nice variety of drinks, chips and candy, plus a variety of other items for anyone who might need an aspirin, sewing kit, earbuds, or any number of other things. His prices are extremely reasonable.
There is also a really nice Keurig coffee station for customers to enjoy. The shop owner is so nice and is always up for conversation. He has worked hard to stock items that his customers enjoy, and is open to suggestions if he doesn't have something you need. If you're in the area, there is no need to go anywhere else.

This is extremely convenient for our office, and the Sheraton Hotel next door. They carry a nice variety of items. Tipu is extremely friendly, and the prices are reasonable, and usually less than the gift shop at the downtown Marriott.

Tifu, the owner, is a really nice guy. The store is tucked away downstairs if you are having trouble finding it. The prices were way cheaper than any convenience store I've been to. And he tries to stock it with healthy products. It's very close to the hotel and I would highly recommend it.
