Worst Customer service ever. I’ve been shopping at this location for 5 years now and ever since the new red head manager began working he’s beyond rude . I came in and simply asked for cigs and he refused to reach 2 feet behind him to add the cigs to my order. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with pippy. Not to mention he clearly lacks customer service skills. Extremely rude.

We've been very happy with the selection. They don't have a ton of brands of each item, but for the location and size, have a nice variety of items (toiletry, dairy, beer, etc.). It's been great. For example, we wanted sour cream with dinner and were out the other night. They had one brand in stock. While we couldn't choose from a half dozen brands like at Harris teeter, we didn't care, because we just wanted a reasonably priced alternative to going to the grocery store. It's not going to replace a grocery store, but they will have a good variety of basic needs and aren't price gouging.

This is a good store. It is downtown and yet has adequate supply and prices !!! No fresh meat ( only hotdogs , sausages and frozen meals) and, off course, no spirits!!! Considering everything, if they should expand their offer by these products this would be one helluva store!( not so far away as it is) Staff is friendly, store looks clean. Totally recommending !

Great addition to downtown, you don't realize how much you need a store like this downtown until you don't have it. They carry all the essential items from food, to cleaning products, stationary supplies, baby items, and hygein products. I really miss having this store downtown and can't wait till it comes back.

They have great coffee! Lg. $1.61with tax. It makes one cup at a time. Always fresh. Nice outgoing workers. Lots of food & miscellaneous items.

Never have I ever seen a DGX. This store is right on the corner of a busy street, not ideal for parking but perfect if you live, work or play downtown. Staff is quick. Location is very well lit, I felt safe

This is Dollar General Expresss, while there are many things for $1, everything is not a dollar. They have things you won't find in regular Dollar Stores such as hot coffee, fresh donuts, cooked hot dogs, icees, and other quick food. I like this place because it's downtown and if you work or live downtown it's a great place to walk to and quickly grab some essentials.

I absolutely love this store. Dollar general's effort to rebrand themselves in a metropolitan area was brilliant. Always clean friendly and fast customer service. It's like a cleaner nicer mini Walmart were you can qctually get help if need be. Chances hmare they will always have what you need since inventory is always well stocked.

It's not your usual Dollar General Store and while it doesn't sell everything it sells more than you'd expect. Paired with it's prices, it was a welcome addition to downtown for those that work and or live within walking distance because parking in downtown Raleigh is the equivalent to being struck by lightning as in it rarely happens and is shocking and blows your mind when it does. Well played DGX...well played.

Convenient. A better lower priced option for the same "fill-in" products than CVS Pharmacy, especially for the fixed income Seniors that live two blocks away and the surrounding community. Staff has always been friendly and professional.

Love to get one of their hot coffee drinks (plenty to choose from including hot cocoa); it's always clean and the staff are always pleasant.

Easy access and friendly employees, very clean and store had just what I needed with reasonable prices. Saved me time and energy.

Nice for bread milk eggs. Minimal selection of items. Coffee and drink machine available. Staff not very congenial.

It was pretty busy with only self check out and stocking, but everyone was so nice and helpful.

One of my favorite stores, disappointed sometimes stickers on their cells, but service is good prices are right, say ya for the dollar store, time to put coin in your pocket, (BLESS GOD)

Very clean! Nicely organized, but the isles are small, can fit 2 carts down an isle.

The perfect convenience store. Cheapest prices downtown and they have many of the daily needs you need in a downtown apartment.
