Academy Sports + Outdoors

This is a great store if you're looking for anything sports related but especially perfect when looking for boys/men's clothing. Lots of options & great prices. This store is always clean & the staff is generally helpful. The customer service area can be iffy, but it appears to be due to under-staffing. All in all... a great place to shop.

Recently shopped at this location and was impressed by the knowledge of Dylan about his entire department. He was training two new employees and still managed to give everyone one in one service! It was a busy morning and he kept it rolling like a well oiled machine. Ryan the manager was super helpful and thorough in helping us check out. Nice clean store with friendly employees.

Meet at the front door by friendly staff member hanging out for fliers for the store. A little disappointed in the amount of items not in stock (ammo & magazines), but it does appear they are starting to get some items back in stock.

It was evening, and due to weather it was probably not their usual crowd; however, all the employees remained positive, attentive, helpful, and sincere!

I was truly shocked as it seems when it's slow, many times employees (at a variety of different stores) goof off, are inattentive, let their guard down, appear tired/bored/disinterested, and even act as if you are putting them out. That was NOT what I experienced at Academy, which was surprisingly nice to see for a change!

The entire shopping process was impressive (despite being out of stock of a couple items I was hoping to purchase)!
Their help, kindness, knowledge of product, teamwork, smiles, friendliness, and positive demeanor had me extremely pleased the entire shopping trip! I even asked the checker if there was a DM currently present due to the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and how put together everything was...lol.
From the greeting I received upon entering the doors, the immediate and ongoing assistance, friendliness, cleanliness, and organization of the store; to the customer service and patience during checkout, this is a well oiled machine that ALL companies should desire to replicate!

I absolutely love this store!! They have really good deals & good prices IMO.But OBVIOUSLY all your NFL apparel n popular high end quality name brands are gonna be a a bit more pricey

You had everything I needed for my fishing trip to Alaska. It was well worth the drive from Lawrence.
It was a bit challenging to find someone to help me with questions, but I managed to get everything sorted out. Btw...
It was great to see the ammo section well stocked again.

We called to be sure they had something in stock and they held it til we came to town for it. Very friendly staff and I helped us load our purchase.

The employees here always appear happy, relaxed and helpful. Store is so clean and I love the Magellan line of clothing! Way better than Columbia and I own a lot of Columbia. Keep up the good work!

Great selections compared to a lot of other places around in Topeka . I highly recommend!

Wide variety of products to choose from. End of summer so I should have expected it, but heir sandal selection was pretty picked-over. Friendly staff, and clean store. No line to checkout so that was a pleasant surprise. Got what I needed and got out.

The employees are really nice, mostly. There's always that ONE exception but other than that, the place is big, clean, workers are friendly and helpful.

Went by Academy Sports and Outdoors in Topeka Kansas earlier to check out the Black Fridays sales and found they had shelves full of ammo in almost every caliber. Looks like the drought may be ending!

Short and sweet... I love this place... I don't go very often but they always have what I'm looking for when I think I need to go for sporting goods and outdoor type stuff. And when they have a clearance sale.... Good God they mean it. Better be there early for the good deals. Great ammo supply, fishing gear galore, sports equipment for days, good prices and friendly staff always

Always find what I need in here. But some of the people need better understand what you have in your store though. Some of them. Just don't care
