Bobo's Drive In

This diner is an oldie but goodie. The family and I had a great time coming here. The food was on point. We had the burger and fries, chili and cheese fries, chicken tenders, shakes, apple pie all were excellent. Highly recommend this place the family and I loved this place so much we came back before leaving back home. Also shout out to the waiter he was very helpful on made sure we were good while we were enjoying our meal. We have created great memories here. Highly recommend. The place was well kept, clean and just felt welcoming. Thank you Bobo’s Drive in !

An absolute gem of local Topeka cuisine. Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and for good reason, Bobo Drive-In is the perfect old-fashioned experience. Virtually unchanged in 75 years, they offer classic steak burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes, malts, and more. If you pull in outside, car hops come right to your window or head inside to the cozy and comfortable seating area. Orders after 7:30 are take-out only. The service has always been exquisite in my experience, and the food is the perfect blast from the past to the good old days of drive-ins. Highly recommend this Topeka treasure.

Ok. I haven't left a review in awhile but I can't pass this one up. So all the 5 star reviews are correct. None of them are false. These are the types of places that preserve America. I love the counter. However, the inside is not large; which is a typical style of diner from 75 years ago. That's what makes them so unique. One point to make, there is no bathroom. It's such a local favorite, nobody cares though. That steakburger is extremely good! Plus they paid You should come.

Stopped in for lunch, we went inside. They have 6 tables and counter service. You can also pull your car up and get car side service. Great burger and onion rings! Service was great and fast! Yes Diners, Drive-in and dives was here!

Just loved it! The double cheeseburger was excellent, as were the fries. In fact, I think of the burger often, even though it's been several months since I ate there. Every time I drive near this place, I'll be stopping again. I ate inside one time ages ago, but this time I opted for the car hop service, which was great. I can see how the car hop spaces could fill up quickly at prime lunch and dinner hours, but I arrived a little after 11am and there were a few spots available. Best burger, I've had in several years. The residents of this town are very lucky to have a place like this with all the history, and still turning out great food, very jealous

First, A+ for all the previous google reviews that steered us rookies in the right direction.

Double Spanish Burger was delicious as it came but I think I’d like it even more with cheese, so if that’s your thing, don’t forget to order it with cheese.

Onion rings = Amen. Hallelujah. Give yourself a minute before diving in because they are FRESH (as was everything!!) or burn your mouth because they’re so good you can’t wait.

Root beer. If root beer married cream soda…this is the offspring. If you aren’t washing all this down with one of these root beers…I won’t say what I want cause that would be rude.

Service was FABULOUS. Food was out FAST.

Absolutely fantastic diner- really takes you back! They do their best to make it as authentic as possible and that includes some of the best diner burgers you'll have. I wish I lived in Topeka so I could be a regular. Make a beeline to this place if you're anywhere in the area.

Very quaint place to eat at. Great food! They make their own root beer soda and desserts! Definitely left there full! Owners are wonderful! Dine in or eat in your car. They have car hops.

Old School Topeka tradition, fast service, good juicy burger ( I recommend the cheese), skinnier fries, a decent hot dog, and my dad's favorite hot apple pie a la mode(satin freeze).

I am not from Topeka, just here to work an assignment. BOBO showed up in my searches when looking for hamburger and they did not disappoint! One of the best hamburgers I have had in a long while. The onion rings were great as well. I will be visiting here a few times before my assignment ends. Yummy 😋

Absolutely the BEST food!! Burgers were fabulous! You could tell the meat was fresh. Best fries and onion rings any of us have ever had! You could tell the level of homemade all of the food is! Oreo shakes were terrific. No complaints and we tried a little of everything. Definitely will be back the next time we are in town!! The owner was so sweet, every single staff member we interacted with was SUPER polite and had great attitudes!!

I have loved this place for years. Burgers are even better than the original Bobo burger, apple pie could use a little more cinnamon. All in all, the best little burger joint ever!

Love this spot. Food is greasy and quick. Service is always great. The fries and onion rings with house sauce... can't get much better.

This little place was a wonderful experience. Myself and my grandmother went here and had the best burgers we've had in a while. Apparently she also worked there back in the 60s!

What a trip down memory lane. They still have car hops that come to your car and take your order, then when your order is ready they bring you food to you. The hamburger was so good, the fries were hot and crispy and the fountain drinks are sweet and ice cold.

Five stars for the onion rings. The Spanish burger was good but the onion rings and the root beer were the stars of the show.

We get their double cheeseburger with extra cheese, pickles, and mustard only and it is delicious. Best burger in town if you ask me. They use quality meat and it is juicy and flavorful. I really like their hand made onions rings as well. Their car hops are always fast, friendly, and efficient. You pull in and they come out to your car and take your order. They do also have a small dine in area as well. Great food and friendly staff!!
