Food Lion

I went into this store with my 5 months old. I was pushing him in the stroller and pulling a cart behind me until he got fussy and I had to take him out of the stroller. A kind employee offered to keep my stroller at customer service until I was done shopping. Then, when I went through the self checkout (still holding my baby), the employee manning self checkout offered to ring up my items for me. They were so incredibly kind and made my day.

Their recent renovations added selfeckout as an option and that makes my short trips shorter

The cake their it is so delicious and not too sweet 😋 I love it the best cake ever for me

Excellent branch of this company. Clean and in order... Mostly today it was the people working... Friendly and helpful. The manager on duty was especially helpful and just pleasant to deal with. I needed help with a couple things out of the ordinary for me and she dealt with it without making me feel stupid!!! (And I think most of us have had the experience of not knowing and yet having someone respond with impatience and discourtesy.) 5+ Stars!

Low prices for groceries is always good. Whether you purchase name brand or store brand, you can save big. In today's economy since everything has gone up, it's best to save as much as you can. Save with the 🦁.

Ignore the reviews from years ago. I used to avoid shopping here too. But, in the past couple years, this store has been updated and the employees are AWESOME! I am so impressed with their friendliness and helpfulness. It's clean, well-stocked, good produce, good Food Lion prices. I feel welcome and appreciated when I shop here. I am in once or twice a week, and the experience is uniformly good.

Handy location Lake Wheeler/Tryon Rd, when in area. Staff pleasant, helpful. Customers also.
Laid out different but not an issue since good signage, and now used to it. Always nice store to shop in.
Sometimes find interesting items first time seeing, and buying, more so than other stores.

What really sets this Food Lion above most other grocery stores is the employees. The staff here are some of the most helpful, kind, energetic, and enjoyable workers I have been around. I always seem to walk out smiling or even laughing from my experience there. Even today my cashier let out a little shout of joy in celebration on how much I was saving on my bill. Seriously awesome people! Keep it up Food Lion!

I go to this Food Lion once a week for convenience because it's down the street from where I live, and I've never had an issue. They have good deals/selections always and the cashiers are quick/friendly. Parking is a breeze and getting in and out has never been an issue either.. even during peak hours.

I love going to this store whenever I need something. It is very convenient to where we live, is located within a strip mall if you need other things like Chinese food, a bus stop, a barber, pizza, ATM, and even a gas station.
The store is clean, well stocked, and I love it most of all because all of the staff I've encountered far is so friendly there.

This was my go-to grocery in college, seemed a bit smaller than other food lions but has all the essentials. Staff was always friendly. I used to get a 6 pack of Hamm's 16 oz cans (8 beers) for $3.99 which is just about the cheapest beer you will find unless you want a 40 oz.

No complaints. Actually, instead of all gathering around some Central location like a bunch of sheep, the cashiers that aren't assisting customers were standing at the entrance of their lanes, enticing customers to come check out, there. Since the rise of self-checkout, a lot of places are full of employees who pretend to ne busy with something else, in order to slack off. Not these guys. Good job.

Always well-stocked. Fairlife milk at $2.99 is awesome! Cashier let me use store MVP after I couldn't remember my phone number from years ago! Friendly staff every time.

A very friendly store. Its actually kinda uncanny. I shopped here and heard a cashier call a Customer by name, which was so impressive. Although I am not a huge price fan, their customer service deserves ALL FIVE STARS!!!

Thursday evening.... I visit the Food Lion, on lake wheeler road, I wanted something quick to eat, but I discovered your new wings bar, which is amazing, I'm glad that food lion has the wings bar, l Works at Pruitt health facility down the street, I will be coming back everyday for the wings and, the young lady in the Deli Department, ask me could she help me,l said yes, and I ask her what I have to do to Purchase the wings, She was very helpful and had a beautiful smile, and then I went to the cash Register the young lady Greet me with a Beautiful smile, and said hello did I find everything OK, I said yes and after I made my purchase she said thank you and have a good day, those 2 young ladies was very pleasant and very professional, I'M DEFINITELY VISITING FOOD LION AGAIN P.S.....PLEASE KEEP THE WINGS BAR THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!

At least it's not Harris Teeter. This is the store of common yellow tagged meat. Just come by, check what's on sale. They may never get cherry flavored apple juice or shrimp ramen again.

Employees were pleasant and helpful during my grocery shopping experience. All covid-19 protocol was followed in terms of masks and wipes..
