Just wanted to give these guys a shout out for their customer service. I bought a guitar from them and UPS damaged it from dropping something heavy on the box (which was in a stewmac shipping system rated to be dropped at like 10 feet without sustaining damage). They were very quick to start a claim and even reached out to me by phone to discuss our options and made it right. Will buy from again, even though I’m on the opposite side of the US from them.
What made me think to post this review was a not so good shipping experience with a “big box” store and reminded me of what buying a guitar is supposed to be like. 5 out of 5 stars.

Really great place to pickup a guitar and very friendly people. Online options available too, and you can sit down and try out your instrument at leisure! Definitely worth your time!!

I have been contacting Eric at Village for a PRS Silver Sky SE that was being sold as a floor model ($150 off).
As a pro musician, you want to get the best deal or best price out of your gear so I asked Eric if he could match a price on Reverb which was $50 cheaper. Eric said he couldn't but I wanted to support a local business.
So I visited the store (25 minutes away). I walk into that store and that showroom had some of the best guitars (Fender, PRS, Reverend, Ibanez, Godin, etc.) I've ever seen in person in this area. Not only that, but you could also test any guitar with a plethora of pro quality pedals (Strymon, Walrus Audio, MXR, etc.), amps, and cabs in the testing room. There's a testing ROOM! As someone who collects and plays multiple instruments, I was really impressed by the quality and professionalism of the place which is rare sadly. I wish there were more basses!
I tested the Silver Sky SE with the pedals that the store had and fell in love with it. Eric then added new strings and a guitar strap (of my choice!) into the mix for no additional cost. That level of service is something you cannot get buying online. I am glad I supported a local business for this purchase. Not to say that getting free stuff is what one should expect going there, but it is really cool to interact with someone who knows how to take care of musician customers. I am telling all my musician friends. Thank you, Eric!

These guys are great! Highly recommended checking them out if you're in the market for a guitar. Very good service compared to the big music store in Albuquerque. Bought a guitar from them that ended up having a major issue from a manufacturer defect (no fault of their own) and became unplayable and Eric was quick to respond and got me a replacement right away with no hassle. Service is unbeatable and they have a really great selection of gear! Well worth the short drive from ABQ. Thanks guys!

This place is a treasure and it has a really good vibe. I bought a nice SE Silver Sky here and the owner (who was working that day) was really nice & professional. I highly recommend this place.

This shop would be right at home in the middle of a major city! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Whether you're in the market for a nice addition to your rig or just curious and feel like waxing about gear, definitely make time to swing by and admire the selection and atmosphere.

I've been going here for a year, and I've really improved and the teachers are friendly!

Easily the coziest guitar shop I've ever been to. Eric, Ambrose and everyone teaching here are inspiring and talented musicians. I took lessons here for many years as a kid and have nothing but fond memories and an excellent music library that I was able to take away from it. Though I definitely could have practiced more 😉. Highly recommended!

My son (7.5) has taken guitar lessons with Michael for the past year and a half. Michael is great with kids! He is extremely patient and really adapts his lessons to a child’s attention span.

The folks here are incredibly helpful and friendly. If you're looking to purchase a guitar or for guitar lessons with great teachers, this is your place I just finished my fourth lesson with Adam today. Adam has a very good understanding of music theory as well as great practical guitar knowledge. Better than that for these purposes, he is a good teacher. He introduces concepts in a way that is easy to understand and "makes things click." He's patient, it never feels like he's judging me, regardless of how I play. I have definitely improved during my 4 weeks with Adam as my teacher. No doubt, I will be continuing my lessons with him.

Amazing people, great music lessons/teachers, and lots of guitars😉. My boys both take lessons here from Adam Lightle. They're learning to love music by making music! We have a 5yo in drum/ukulele lessons and a 9yo in guitar lessons.

These guys went above and beyond the other day. I needed some guitar strings and called as they were closing. They agreed to stay a bit late and remain open so I could come in and get what I needed. When I was there they patiently waited and helped me (a rookie) select the right strings. What a great local business! Thank you for your great customer service.
