Daiso

This is a big Daiso store. The format is larger than what I typically see. There's the usual Japanese housewares items, stationary, cookware, fishes, etc. What was unusual was the metal cups and metal plates. It took me a while to understand that they were probably for use while out camping. They also have small cast iron pans, probably for camping?...or maybe good if you are cooking for one and want to put a good sear on a small steak. 🧑‍🍳🔥🥩😋

Up front there's a huge assortment of "hug pillows".....they look like stuffed toy animals to me. Could probably double as graduation gifts.

Of course, there's also Hello Kitty items there too. 😆

Best place for great deals.especially qith the start of the school year. I bought a lot of supplies for the students that I work with. I absolutely love coming here. Their stock changes all the time with different items.

Such a quaint store with tons of knick knacks that are priced very reasonably. You can find most anything in any category. This place is basically a Japanese dollar store but with a modern flair. Inside the store is very bright and airy with minimal decoration, but the styling and look is modern with a sense of not being cheap. I found tons of stuff I like and the kids loved exploring the aisles and looking for little fun treasures. I would definitely come back here.

12/19/23 update. Came here to get last minute gifts for Christmas. They have such a varied selection of good that you can practically find something for anyone. This time I got a ton of candy to use for prizes for a claw machine game to entertain the kids with. 😅

Great location, short walk from the El Cerrito Plaza Bart Station, beside the 72, 72M, 72R Bus stops, with ample parking, in the Plaza with Barnes & Noble, Lucky's, CVS, Panda Express, etc. Wonderful staff, with a variety of nick nacks, Japanese and other East Asian snacks, drinks, kitchen wares.

Daiso is awesome and whatever handy item you need they probably have it and well priced.

Not as big as some other daiso's 've been to in other countries, but pretty good big for the ones here in US. I love going there for storage, kitchen and gardening stuff esp pots! They have great snacks too and it's fun trying out the different flavors. Havent tried one that was bad yet. They also have a good selection of kitchen and cleaning stuff. Good toys too. Bought my toddler son a little toy bus and that thing zooms so fast when pushed and he loves it!

This is one of the better Daiso stores in the Bay. Their prices have increased but where haven't they? I love the compressed towels for makeup removal and traveling. They are disposable and absorb very well. I get them in medium for face and the large size for body washing. The small is good for babies.

My family and i enjoy browsing. This store has a little bit of everything for anyone. My son likes the candy and toys. My mom likes the gardening and organizing sections and i love the car accessories/tech area. I have the cat headrest on every seat in my car. So comfortable

Awesome Japanese store with cool items for people living in smaller places, to get carry alot of the main staples that most people use and need, but instead of regular sized, they have shrunken most the items to save space for example, people living in smaller places. they don't just have mini items they also have some pretty useful things I've never even seen or heard of before. Daiso is a place definitely worth checking out.

When I'm not sure where to find a random thing, this is my go-to place. It's the best Daiso in the East Bay, in my opinion. I especially like how they've added-on to the food section- tasty ramen and curry :P

You have to be careful shopping here, because not all the items are $1.50. but the ones that are $1.50 are usually a very good deal indeed ;).

Update. $1.50 has become $1.75. still some bargains here :)

I was pleasantly surprised. They had a special area of $1.00 items today!!!!!

I LOVE this Store it's always So Clean and Orderly. All the Wonderful things really guides you all over the Store , your senses are delighted even looking at day to day items with a new twist to them brings a Smile and sense of bewilderment to Everyone that enters the Store. It's a Great place to shop , most items are $1.50 unless otherwise posted on the isles. I would encourage everyone to Go and Experience this Store.

Can't not go in and spend only a few bucks. Example: If I were on a trip and needed slippers, they have that and a few other things to make a trip more pleasant cheaper than other spots. Usually I like to go there for knick knacks to help with this & that which won't cost and arm and a leg! Feel like your shopping in Japan prices are listed in yen ( don't worry there's conversation tables everywhere). My daughter likes to go in and shop for arts and crafts stuff, good cleaning supply section.

This a more or less a dollar store that offers inexpensive goods from Japan. The pricing here is mostly $1.50 unless otherwise noted but I've never seen anything over $8 there. I mostly come here for paint markers but they offer everything from snacks to cleaning supplies to home storage solutions and more. The service here is very prompt but one weird detail is they are very emphatic about their no refund policy. It's no big deal because I buy stuff for keeps but that's just a strange tact but anyways, 5 stars!

Located in El Cerrito Plaza I love checking out Daiso, the Japanese $1.50 store. They always have something I can use from tableware, storage, some hardware, stationary and quick foods and drinks.
I really like their garden section. I picked up a wooden handled cutter for cleaning up around plants, works great! They have hardware, phone needs, many shopping bags and extensive areas for foot and body care. Some clothing and infant section, toys and my favorite gadgets for cooking and camping. A little of everything for you and the house and new things stocked all the time. Efficient and attentive staff.

You can find anything here for a good price. I like the place. I always find something that I need and even the design is beautiful for me.
