Gelson's - West LA

The new Gelson’s opened in West Edge on November 1.
Lunch at bar just inside.
I recommend the King Salmon burger $15 and Trio (3 Hand Rolls) $19.
The interior was neat and clean.
The apartment right above are still 20% occupied, so there were not many customers.

New Gelson in the riot building plaza. 90 minutes parking validation with purchase. You can enter the parking lot from Olympic, possibly from Bundy as well. There are exits on both streets.
Store looks great, stocked with so many options of food selection from sushi to deli meat, to dessert, gourmet bread, cheese, fruits, wine, coffee etc. They have a bar area you can dine in. Love how clean and organized they look. Today was their grand opening and everything from free samples and goodies were all awesome. Definitely will be coming back in the future.

The store is very nicely stocked. Prices are a bit on the higher side but I suppose you come here for a nice experience. However, if you carefully enough, you can find some deals at a similar price you can find at Ralph's nearby.

Such a great store for lunch, breakfast, drinks - it feels like a combination grocery store, trendy to-go restaurant, and bistro/wine bar.

This is by far the most incredible Gelsons store I have ever been to. I was amazed. Everything was brand new. In fact there was a restaurant inside of it. I also loved the hot bar and the poke bar. In addition to that the staff was very friendly and I was able to find what I needed very quickly.

This is the nicest grocery store I have ever visited. Hands down. i used to go to the Century City store until I found this one. So much nicer. Fully stocked, so much stuff, wide aisles, great deli and cooked foods. Parking is easy and validated. What could be better?

This is such a cheerful place! Sparking clean, well stocked, organized, beautiful setting. What impressed me the most and will make me come back is their staff. They all have a happy, kind vibrant vibe. I met Richard in the produce section, he could sell the entire market with his smiling professional attitude/knowledge. Later on, I went back and met Hanna in the foods to go area, she was eager to help and even came out her stand to show me around. As I walked by, I could tell everyone working here was having a blast doing their job. The flower section, wow! Gorgeous! The prices are a bit higher than the markets nearby, but the quality of what you buy is as high. I still have my favorite market closer to my home few blocks away but I’ll definitely visit again. Congratulations Gelson’s! You’ve hired the best! Thank you (:

The Protein Hot bowl section tasted phenomenal. Particularly, the chicken. It melted in our mouths, while barely chewing.
The two young gentlemen who helped us were Dante and Kristin, or Kris.

And the bakery is tasty very flavorful. Mila was helpful and a baker who was there.

I found this store accidentally. It just opened up 2 weeks previously. They have a fantastic selection. It's a gorgeous store. Their bakery is well-stocked. Everyone working there that I interacted with was super nice. It was a great experience!

I do not review things often but this gelsons location is A+. A flagship location with wine bar, restaurant, and sushi bar. They even have “sip & shop” where you can order groceries from the restaurant/wine bar, and they will shop your entire shopping list for you while you hang out (at no cost). Honestly this is not just a grocery store but a huge amenity for the neighborhood. 90 min validation easy parking.

1st visit...you have to enter parking off Bundy and go underneath the building, take a ticket, they validate up to 90 minutes. The store is bright, wide aisles, helpful and friendly staff, of course Gelson's pricing but will return again. Plus they had Benes Bakery!

All the available assistance. The manager was able to let me know where everything was without looking it up. A few individuals remembered me from the Gelsons in Marina del Rey. The store is beautiful. I loved that I could park on Olympic Blvd and take the grocery cart to the car.

Fabulous new store. The best Gelson’s i’ve seen. Great wine bar & cafe at the front. Awesome ready to go food items. The staff are very friendly. Awesome addition to the neighborhood.

Everything! The store is magnificent. Designed to appeal to convenience shoppers with lots of prepared food offerings as you walk in the front door. Sushi bar is awesome (slightly separated from the main shopping space. Viktor Benes bakery is still one of the most venerable in SoCal--doesn't disappoint. Cheese, produce and wine are simply over the top (never saw a better selection of Laura Chanel goat cheeses!) and the frozen desserts merchandised across from the grab and go really is well thought of. I didn't see lots of RTD's but presume they're in the store somewhere convenient. So, this is our destination store and congratulations to the Gelson's Team for an outstanding, comfortable, easily shopped, high impulse layout. Love it.

The newest memeber of the Gelson's family is beautiful! It was such a pleasure to shop there. Everyone was so helpful, polite, and friendly!
